5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the digital keypad.
- Insert the required batteries (typically AA, not included) according to the polarity markings.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
5.2 Mounting the Safe
For optimal security, it is highly recommended to mount the safe to a floor or wall using the provided expansion screws.
- Choose a discreet and secure location for the safe.
- Open the safe door to 120 degrees for easy access to the pre-drilled holes on the back and bottom.
- Position the safe and mark the drilling points on the floor or wall through the pre-drilled holes.
- Drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
- Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the expansion screws. Tighten all screws firmly.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Setting Your Personal Code
Refer to the specific instructions provided with your safe for detailed steps on setting the initial code. Generally, this involves pressing a reset button inside the safe, entering a new code, and confirming it.
6.2 Unlocking the Safe
- Using the Digital Keypad: Enter your programmed personal code on the keypad. If the code is correct, the safe will unlock, and you can turn the knob to open the door.
- Using Emergency Keys: If the battery is low or you forget your code, insert one of the emergency keys into the keyhole, turn it, and then turn the knob to open the door. Do not store emergency keys inside the safe.

6.3 Alarm System
The safe is equipped with an alarm system for enhanced security:
- Wrong Access Alarm: If an incorrect password is entered 3 consecutive times, the system will lock for 1 minute, and an alarm will sound. During this time, the keypad cannot be used; only the emergency key can open the safe.
- One-Click Alarm: Pressing the '#' key on the keypad can activate an alarm state, causing the gun cabinet to vibrate and sound an alert.
- Low Battery Alert: When the battery is low, the keypad will indicate this (e.g., a 'LOW.VOLT' light). Replace batteries promptly.
