1. Introduction

2. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to set up your NEWFAST AX3000 WiFi 6 Repeater:

2.1 Optimal Placement

The repeater's placement is crucial for optimal performance. It should be positioned between your existing wireless router and the area where you need improved signal strength.

  • Ensure the router's signal strength at the repeater's location is approximately 2 bars.
  • The distance from the repeater to the main router should not exceed 10 meters.
  • If the router is too far or the signal quality is poor, the extended WiFi signal may be invalid.

2.2 Connection and Configuration

  1. Plug the repeater into a power outlet.
  2. Connect your computer or smartphone to the extender's default WiFi network (e.g., "NEWFAST-2G" or "NEWFAST-5G"). Disconnect any Ethernet cables if connected.
  3. Open a web browser. The configuration page should appear automatically. If not, navigate to http://192.168.10.1.
  4. Enter the default username and password, which is "admin" for both. Click "SET PASSWORD" or "LOGIN".
  5. The extender will scan for available WiFi networks. Select the network you wish to extend.
  6. You can customize the name of the extended network (SSID) or keep the default.
  7. Enter the password for your main WiFi network. Click "Save Setting".
  8. Wait for the configuration to complete. The extender will restart automatically.
