4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance and appearance, regularly clean your mouse. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the surface. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring no moisture enters the internal components. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
4.2 Sensor Care
Periodically inspect the optical sensor on the bottom of the mouse for dust or debris. Use a cotton swab or compressed air to gently clean the sensor area to prevent tracking issues.
4.3 Battery Care
The ATK Dragonfly A9 uses a nonstandard, non-user-replaceable battery. To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the mouse frequently. Charge it when the battery indicator suggests low power. Store the mouse in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ATK Dragonfly A9 mouse, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
5.1 Connectivity Issues
- Mouse not connecting wirelessly: Ensure the dongle is securely plugged in and the mouse is in the correct wireless mode (2.4 GHz or Bluetooth). Try re-pairing the mouse with the dongle or your device.
- Intermittent connection: Move the dongle closer to the mouse or use a USB extender to reduce interference. Ensure no other 2.4 GHz devices are causing interference.
5.2 Tracking Problems
- Cursor erratic or unresponsive: Clean the optical sensor on the bottom of the mouse. Ensure you are using the mouse on a suitable surface (a mouse pad is recommended).
- DPI not changing: Verify that the ATK HUB software is installed and configured correctly. Check if the DPI button is functioning.
5.3 Battery and Charging
- Mouse not charging: Ensure the USB-C cable is properly connected to both the mouse and the computer/charger. Try a different USB port or cable.
- Short battery life: Ensure the mouse is fully charged. Reduce polling rate if possible (though A9 is 1K fixed).
5.4 Software Issues
- ATK HUB not recognizing mouse: Ensure the mouse is connected and powered on. Restart the ATK HUB application or your computer. Reinstall the software if necessary.
