1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation, setup, and maintenance of your ARRMA Quake 223S 2WD RTR Brushless Monster Truck. Please read this entire manual before operating your vehicle to ensure proper function and to prevent damage or injury.

2. Safety Information
WARNING: Read the ENTIRE instruction manual to become familiar with the features of the product before operating. Failure to operate the product correctly can result in damage to the product, personal property, and cause serious injury. This is a sophisticated hobby product. It must be operated with caution and common sense and requires some basic mechanical ability. Failure to operate this Product in a safe and responsible manner could result in injury or damage to the product or other property. This product is not intended for use by children without direct adult supervision. Do not use with incompatible components or alter this product in any way outside of the instructions provided by Horizon Hobby, LLC. The product manual contains instructions for safety, operation, and maintenance. It is essential to read and follow all the instructions and warnings in the manual, prior to assembly, setup or use, in order to operate correctly and avoid damage or serious injury.
- Always operate your RC vehicle in open areas away from people, pets, and obstacles.
- Keep hands, face, and loose clothing away from moving parts.
- Ensure batteries are charged correctly and safely.
- Never operate the vehicle near water unless it is specifically designed for such use.
- Store the vehicle and batteries in a cool, dry place.
3. What's in the Box
The ARRMA Quake 223S 2WD RTR package includes the following components:

4. Items Required (Not Included)
To operate your ARRMA Quake 223S, you will need to supply the following items:
- 1x 2S 7.4V LiPo Battery or 1x 3S 11.1V LiPo Battery (with IC5® compatible connector)
- 1x Compatible LiPo Battery Charger
The battery tray maximum dimensions are 140mm x 50mm x 35mm (5.51" x 1.97" x 1.38").

5. Setup
5.1. Transmitter Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment on the Spektrum SLT2 2.4GHz Transmitter.
- Insert the 4 included AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the battery compartment securely.
5.2. Vehicle Battery Installation
- Ensure the vehicle's power switch is in the OFF position.
- Locate the bottom-loading battery tray on the chassis.
- Insert your charged 2S or 3S LiPo battery into the tray, ensuring it fits within the maximum dimensions.
- Secure the battery in place using the provided retention mechanism.
- Connect the battery to the ESC's IC5 connector.
5.3. Binding the Transmitter and Receiver
Your ARRMA Quake 223S comes pre-bound from the factory. If re-binding is necessary, follow these steps:
- Power on the transmitter.
- Power on the vehicle.
- Press and hold the bind button on the receiver (located on the ESC/receiver unit) until the LED flashes.
- Release the bind button. The LED should turn solid, indicating a successful bind.
5.4. Initial Checks
- Verify steering response: Turn the steering wheel on the transmitter; the front wheels should turn accordingly.
- Verify throttle response: Gently pull the throttle trigger; the motor should respond.
- Check all screws and fasteners for tightness.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Basic Controls
- Steering Wheel: Turn left or right to control the vehicle's direction.
- Throttle Trigger: Pull to accelerate forward, push to brake or reverse.
- Throttle Limiting Switch: Adjusts the maximum throttle output for different skill levels.
6.2. Driving Tips
- Start with the throttle limiting switch set to a lower position until you are comfortable with the vehicle's speed.
- Practice steering and throttle control in an open, clear area.
- Avoid driving in tall grass or thick mud, as this can overheat the motor and ESC.
- Be mindful of battery life; stop driving when you notice a significant drop in performance to prevent over-discharging your LiPo battery.

7. Maintenance
7.1. Post-Run Inspection
- Inspect the chassis for any cracks or damage.
- Check all suspension components (shocks, arms) for bends or breaks.
- Ensure wheels and tires are securely attached and free from damage.
- Verify that all wires and connectors are secure and undamaged.
7.2. Cleaning
- Remove dirt and debris from the chassis, motor, and suspension components using a soft brush or compressed air.
- Wipe down the body with a damp cloth.
- Avoid using water directly on electronics unless they are specifically rated as waterproof.
7.3. Component Check
- Regularly check the motor and ESC for excessive heat during operation.
- Inspect gears for wear and tear. Replace if necessary.
- Ensure the servo operates smoothly and without binding.

8. Troubleshooting
