- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and gloves, when operating the tool.
- Ensure the workpiece is securely held before bending.
- Do not exceed the maximum bending capacity or angle of the tool.
- Keep hands and fingers clear of moving parts during operation.
- Store the tool and accessories in the provided case when not in use to prevent damage and ensure safety.
- Keep children and unauthorized persons away from the work area.
2. Product Overview
The VEVOR CT-999RF Ratchet Pipe Bender is a versatile tool designed for bending soft copper and aluminum pipes up to 90 degrees. It is suitable for various applications in plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and automotive systems. The ratchet mechanism allows for precise and effortless bending, even in confined spaces.

3. Setup
Before beginning any bending operation, ensure the correct components are selected and assembled.
3.1 Selecting the Correct Bending Die
Choose the appropriate bending die based on the outer diameter of the pipe you intend to bend. The kit includes 7 interchangeable dies for various pipe sizes.

3.2 Assembling for Inward Bending (Forward Pushing Bending)
- Attach the cross arm to the main bender body.
- Secure the chosen bending die onto the pusher rod.
- Place the pipe between the bending die and the rollers on the cross arm.
- Adjust the wing screws to firmly hold the pipe in place.
3.3 Assembling for Outward Bending (Reverse Pulling Bending)
- Attach the reverse bending attachment to the main bender body.
- Secure the chosen bending die onto the pusher rod.
- Place the pipe between the bending die and the rollers on the reverse bending attachment.
- Adjust the wing screws to firmly hold the pipe in place.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Pipe Preparation
- Cutting: Use the included copper tube cutter to cut the pipe to the desired length. Ensure a clean, straight cut.
- Deburring: After cutting, use the deburring tool to remove any sharp edges or burrs from both the inner and outer edges of the pipe. This prevents damage to the pipe and ensures smooth flow.
4.2 Bending Process
Once the bender is set up and the pipe is prepared, proceed with bending:
- Insert the prepared pipe into the bender, ensuring it is properly seated against the bending die and rollers.
- Engage the ratchet mechanism by squeezing the handle. The bender will gradually bend the pipe.
- Continue squeezing and releasing the handle until the desired bend angle is achieved, up to a maximum of 90 degrees.
- Release the ratchet mechanism and carefully remove the bent pipe.

5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your VEVOR Ratchet Pipe Bender.
- After each use, clean the bending dies and the main tool body to remove any metal shavings or debris.
- Apply a light coat of oil to moving parts and metal surfaces to prevent rust.
- Inspect the bending dies for wear or damage. Replace worn dies to maintain bending accuracy.
- Store the entire kit in its plastic storage box in a dry, clean environment.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues during operation, consider the following common solutions:
- Pipe Kinking/Flattening: Ensure you are using the correct size bending die for your pipe. Verify the pipe material is suitable for cold bending. For harder materials, pre-heating might be necessary (consult pipe manufacturer guidelines).
- Difficulty Bending: Check if the ratchet mechanism is fully engaged. Ensure the pipe is clean and free of obstructions.
- Tool Malfunction: Inspect all moving parts for damage or excessive wear. Ensure all screws and fasteners are tight.
