Installation Guide
Important: Before beginning installation, ensure the power to the circuit is turned off at the circuit breaker to prevent electrical shock. If you are unsure about any steps, consult a qualified electrician.
Wiring Instructions (No Neutral Required)
- Identify Wires: In your wall box, identify the Live (Line) wire, Load wire(s), and Ground wire. This switch does not require a neutral wire.
- Connect Wires:
- Connect the Live (Line) wire from your wall box to the 'L' terminal on the smart switch.
- Connect the Load wire(s) (leading to your light fixture) to the 'L1' terminal on the smart switch. If you have multiple load wires for a single gang, connect them together with the switch's load wire using a wire nut.
- Connect the Ground wire from your wall box to the 'G' terminal on the smart switch.
- Install Capacitor: For no-neutral wiring, a capacitor is essential. Connect the included capacitor across the Live and Load wires at the light fixture. This helps stabilize the circuit and prevent flickering.
- Secure the Switch: Gently push the wired switch into the wall box. Use the provided screws to secure the switch to the wall box.
- Install Faceplate: Attach the faceplate over the switch. The MOES switch supports both non-screw and screw-type faceplates. A washer is provided to ensure a flush fit for non-screw faceplates.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.

Operating Instructions
Manual Control
The MOES Smart Light Switch features a rocker-style button for manual control. Press the top part of the rocker to turn the light ON, and the bottom part to turn the light OFF. Both buttons perform the same ON/OFF function for a 1-gang switch.

App Control (MOES/Tuya App)
To unlock the full smart features of your switch, download the MOES or Tuya Smart app from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to pair your switch with your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Pairing: Open the app, tap 'Add Device', and follow the prompts to connect your smart switch.
- Remote Control: Once paired, you can turn your lights ON/OFF from anywhere using the app.
- Timer Schedules: Set up daily schedules, countdown timers, or custom scenes to automate your lighting. For example, schedule lights to turn off at bedtime.

- Light Flickering: Ensure the capacitor is correctly installed at the light fixture, especially for no-neutral setups.
- Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi:
- Confirm your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. This switch does not support 5GHz networks.
- Ensure your router is within range of the switch.
- Restart your router and try pairing again.
- Reset the smart switch (refer to the app or included manual for reset instructions).
- Voice Control Issues:
- Verify your MOES/Tuya account is correctly linked to Alexa/Google Assistant.
- Ensure the voice assistant device is online and functioning correctly.
