Introduction

The TDTOD O TAG is a versatile smart tracker designed to help you locate your valuable items. It offers broad compatibility with both Apple's Find My network (for iOS devices) and Google's Find My Device network (for Android devices). This manual provides instructions on how to set up, operate, and maintain your O TAG tracker.

Important Note: The TDTOD O TAG can only be paired with one system (either Apple Find My or Google Find My Device) at a time. You cannot use both simultaneously with a single tracker.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The TDTOD O TAG comes with a pre-installed CR2032 battery. To access or replace the battery, gently twist the two halves of the tracker counter-clockwise to open. Insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up. Align the halves and twist clockwise to secure.

2. Pairing with Your Device

Before pairing, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.

For Apple Find My (iOS 14.5 or later):

1. Open the Apple "Find My" app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Navigate to the "Items" tab.
3. Tap the "+" icon and select "Add Other Item".
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your TDTOD O TAG. You may need to press the button on the tracker to activate pairing mode.

For Google Find My Device (Android 9.0 or later):

1. Open the Google "Find My Device" app on your Android smartphone.
2. Ensure Bluetooth is active on your phone.
3. Press the button on the TDTOD O TAG to activate pairing mode.
4. The app should detect the tracker. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.

Operating Instructions

1. Locating Nearby Items

When your item is within Bluetooth range (up to 100 meters / 350 feet), you can use the app to make the TDTOD O TAG play a sound. This helps you pinpoint the exact location of your item, such as keys hidden under a cushion.

1. Open the "Find My" (iOS) or "Find My Device" (Android) app.
2. Select your TDTOD O TAG from the list of items.
3. Tap the "Play Sound" option. The tracker will emit an audible alert (80-100dB).

2. Locating Distant Items

If your item is out of Bluetooth range, the app will display its last known location on a map. You can use the app's navigation feature to guide you back to the vicinity of your item. Once you are closer, you can use the "Play Sound" feature to find it precisely.

3. "Left Behind" Notifications

Enable "Left Behind" alerts in your app settings. If you leave your TDTOD O TAG behind and move out of its Bluetooth range, your smartphone will receive an instant notification, reminding you that your item is no longer with you.

4. Sharing Item Location

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The TDTOD O TAG uses a standard CR2032 coin cell battery, which typically lasts up to one year. When the battery is low, you may receive a notification from your tracking app. To replace the battery:

1. Gently twist the two halves of the tracker counter-clockwise to open the casing.
2. Remove the old CR2032 battery.
3. Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
4. Align the two halves of the tracker and twist clockwise until securely closed.
