3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Assembly

Assemble the feeder tray and perch to the main unit. Ensure all parts are securely fastened.

3.2 Mounting Options

The feeder offers versatile mounting options:

Wall Mount: Use the provided screws and anchors to secure the feeder to a wall.
Pole Clamp Mount: Attach the feeder to a pole using the hose clip.
Tree Strap Mount: Use the black strap to secure the feeder to a tree trunk.
Freestanding: The feeder can also be placed on a flat surface.

3.3 Initial Power and Charging

The feeder is equipped with a 4400mAh battery and a solar panel for continuous power. For initial setup or if the battery is low, connect the feeder to power using the Type C charge cable.

Ensure the solar panel is positioned to receive maximum direct sunlight for optimal charging.
The solar panel helps maintain battery charge, reducing the need for manual charging.

3.4 App Connection

Download the COOLFLY app from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your feeder to your home Wi-Fi network. The feeder supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Filling the Feeder

The feeder has a 2.3-liter capacity. Open the top lid for easy refilling. The seed guard tray helps prevent spillage and deters larger animals.

4.3 Solar Night Light

The feeder includes a solar-powered night light that automatically illuminates at dusk, providing ambient lighting and visibility.

5. Maintenance

Cleaning: Regularly clean the feeder to prevent mold and bacterial growth. Disassemble the tray and wash with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly.
Seed Guard: Periodically check and clean the seed guard tray to ensure it functions effectively in preventing spillage.
Solar Panel: Keep the solar panel clean and free from debris (leaves, dust) to ensure efficient charging.
Battery: While solar-powered, in prolonged periods of low sunlight or cold weather, manual charging via the Type C cable may be necessary to maintain optimal camera function.

6. Troubleshooting

Problem	Possible Cause	Solution
Feeder not powering on/camera not working.	Low battery, solar panel not charging, power button off.	Ensure the power button is on. Charge the feeder using the Type C cable. Verify the solar panel is clean and receiving direct sunlight. In cold weather, manual charging may be required more frequently.
Cannot connect to Wi-Fi.	Incorrect Wi-Fi password, 5GHz network selected, feeder too far from router.	Ensure you are connecting to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Double-check the Wi-Fi password. Move the feeder closer to your Wi-Fi router or consider a Wi-Fi extender.
Poor video quality or missed recordings.	Weak Wi-Fi signal, camera lens obstructed, low light conditions.	Improve Wi-Fi signal strength. Clean the camera lens. Ensure adequate lighting or rely on the feeder's night vision capabilities.
Critters (squirrels, raccoons) accessing the feeder.	Feeder not adequately protected, seed guard not properly installed.	Ensure the seed guard tray is correctly positioned. Utilize the two-way audio features (siren, light, speaking) via the app to deter unwanted animals. Consider additional physical deterrents if necessary.
