3. Product Overview

Familiarize yourself with the speaker's components and controls:

  • Power/Mode Button (⑂/M): Press and hold to power on/off. Briefly press to switch between modes (Bluetooth, FM Radio, USB, TF Card).
  • Play/Pause/Call Button (▶/▌▌/☎): Briefly press to play/pause music. Briefly press to answer/end calls. Press and hold to reject calls. Double-click for TWS pairing.
  • Previous Track/Volume Down Button (◀◀): Briefly press for previous track. Press and hold to decrease volume.
  • Next Track/Volume Up Button (▶▶): Briefly press for next track. Press and hold to increase volume.
  • USB Port: For USB drive playback.
  • TF Card Slot: For TF (MicroSD) card playback.
  • Type-C Charging Port: For charging the speaker.
  • LED Display: Shows current mode, volume, and other information.

4. Setup

4.1. Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge the speaker using the provided Type-C USB cable. Connect the cable to the speaker's Type-C charging port and a compatible USB power adapter (not included). The LED display will indicate charging status.

4.2. Power On/Off

To power on the speaker, press and hold the Power/Mode (⑂/M) button for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a startup sound and the LED display illuminates.

To power off the speaker, press and hold the Power/Mode (⑂/M) button again for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a shutdown sound and the LED display turns off.

4.3. Bluetooth Pairing

After powering on, the speaker will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by "BLUE" on the LED display and a flashing Bluetooth icon. To connect your device:

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet.
  2. Search for available Bluetooth devices.
  3. Select "WS-558" from the list.
  4. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone, and "BLUE" will stop flashing.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Playing Music (Bluetooth Mode)

Once connected via Bluetooth, you can control music playback directly from your device or using the speaker's buttons:

  • Play/Pause: Briefly press the Play/Pause (▶/▌▌) button.
  • Volume Up: Press and hold the Next Track/Volume Up (▶▶) button.
  • Volume Down: Press and hold the Previous Track/Volume Down (◀◀) button.
  • Next Track: Briefly press the Next Track/Volume Up (▶▶) button.
  • Previous Track: Briefly press the Previous Track/Volume Down (◀◀) button.

5.2. Switching Modes

The WS-558 supports multiple playback modes. To switch between modes (Bluetooth, FM Radio, USB, TF Card), briefly press the Power/Mode (⑂/M) button.

5.3. FM Radio Mode

To use the FM Radio function:

  1. Switch to FM Radio mode by briefly pressing the Power/Mode (⑂/M) button until "FM" appears on the display.
  2. To auto-scan and save available stations, press and hold the Play/Pause (▶/▌▌) button. The speaker will scan frequencies and store stations automatically.
  3. Once scanning is complete, briefly press the Previous Track (◀◀) or Next Track (▶▶) buttons to navigate through the saved stations.

5.4. USB/TF Card Playback

Insert a USB drive or TF (MicroSD) card into the respective port. The speaker will automatically switch to the corresponding mode and begin playing audio files. Use the Play/Pause (▶/▌▌), Previous Track (◀◀), and Next Track (▶▶) buttons to control playback.

5.5. Hands-Free Calling

When connected via Bluetooth, the speaker can be used for hands-free calls:

  • Answer Call: When an incoming call rings, briefly press the Play/Pause/Call (▶/▌▌/☎) button.
  • End Call: During a call, briefly press the Play/Pause/Call (▶/▌▌/☎) button.
  • Reject Call: When an incoming call rings, press and hold the Play/Pause/Call (▶/▌▌/☎) button.
  • Switch Audio Source: During a call, briefly press the Play/Pause/Call (▶/▌▌/☎) button to switch the audio between the speaker and your mobile phone.

5.6. TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Pairing

If you have two WS-558 speakers, you can pair them together for a true stereo audio experience:

  1. Ensure both speakers are powered on and in Bluetooth mode, but not connected to any device.
