4. Setup
The SILVEL Diesel Heater is designed for plug-and-play use. Follow these steps for initial setup:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging and verify against the package contents list.
- Connect Exhaust Pipe: Attach the exhaust pipe to the designated port on the heater unit using the provided clamp. Ensure a secure, airtight connection.
- Install Silencer (Optional): If using the exhaust silencer, attach it to the end of the exhaust pipe.
- Connect Air Outlet Pipe and Vent: Attach the air outlet pipe to the hot air outlet on the front of the heater. Secure it with a clamp. Then, attach the vent to the end of the air outlet pipe.
- Fueling: Open the fuel cap and carefully fill the 9L-10L tank with diesel fuel. Do not overfill. Ensure the cap is securely tightened to prevent leaks. The anti-leak design with internal threading helps prevent spills during movement.
- Power Connection:
- For 110V AC operation (home, garage, shop): Connect the provided 110V AC adapter to the heater and then to a standard wall outlet.
- For 12V/24V DC operation (car, RV, boat): Connect the red and black wires of the DC power cable to the corresponding terminals on the heater (red to positive, black to negative). Connect the other end to your vehicle's 12V or 24V power source.
- Placement: Position the heater on a stable, level surface. Ensure adequate clearance around the unit for proper airflow and to prevent fire hazards. Direct the hot air vent towards the area to be heated. Ensure the exhaust pipe is routed safely outside and away from any windows, doors, or air intakes.
