Important Safety Information: Always follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury. Ensure the appliance is properly grounded. Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug. Keep ventilation openings clear. Do not store explosive substances near the appliance.
2. Setup and Installation
2.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove all packaging materials. Inspect the ice maker for any shipping damage. Report any damage to your retailer immediately. It is recommended to let the unit stand upright for 24 hours before first use to allow refrigerants to settle.
2.2 Placement
The LifePlus KZB-45C ice maker can be used freestanding or under a counter. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources. Maintain a minimum clearance of 5 inches from walls.

2.3 Connecting the Drain Pipe
Connect the included drain pipe to the drain outlet port at the rear of the ice maker. Ensure the connection is secure to prevent leaks. Route the other end of the drain pipe to a suitable drain or sink.

2.4 Water Inlet Options
Your ice maker supports two water inlet modes:
- Tap Water Mode: Connect the included water inlet pipe to the "Tap water inlet" on the ice maker and to your faucet. Ensure the connection is secure.
- Self-Priming Water Design: Insert the self-priming hose into the "Self-Priming Water Inlet" at the rear and place the other end into a bucket or large water bottle. The internal pump will automatically draw water when activated.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 First Use
Before first use, ensure the unit has been upright for 24 hours. Connect the power cord to a grounded outlet. The first ice-making cycle may take longer (up to 20 minutes) as the compressor stabilizes. The first batch of ice may also be thinner; quality improves with continued use.
3.2 Making Ice
After turning on the power, press the "Power" button on the control panel. The display will show "P2:20" (or similar, indicating initial cycle time). The machine will automatically detect the water mode and begin making ice. Each ice cycle typically takes 8-18 minutes, depending on the selected thickness.

3.3 Adjusting Ice Thickness and Cycle Time
The ice maker offers 3 adjustable thickness options: thin (S), medium (M), or thick (L). To adjust the ice-making cycle time, press and hold the up (▲) or down (▼) button for 5 seconds. This allows customization of ice thickness and production speed.

3.4 Ice Storage and Removal
The unit has an 18 LBS ice storage bin. When the "Ice Full" indicator light turns on, the ice maker will automatically stop production. Remove ice from the bin to resume operation. Use the provided ice shovel to break up any large blocks of ice for easier storage.
