4. Setup
4.1 Initial Preparation
- Unpack the ice maker and remove all packaging materials.
- Clean the interior of the ice maker thoroughly before first use.
- Place the ice maker in an upright position for at least 24 hours to allow the refrigerant to settle.
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit (refer to product dimensions for clearance).
4.2 Water Inlet Connection
The KZB-45C supports two water inlet methods:
- Bottled Water: Connect the self-priming water inlet hose to a compatible water jug.
- Tap Water: Connect the tap water inlet hose to a potable water supply.

4.3 Drainage Connection
Connect the sewage pipe to the drain outlet at the back of the machine and direct it to a suitable drain.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Operation
- Ensure the water supply is connected and the machine is plugged into a grounded power outlet.
- Press the Power button to turn on the ice maker.
- The machine will automatically begin the ice-making cycle.
- Once ice is produced, use the provided ice shovel to transfer ice to a storage container or directly for use. Note: The ice bin is not a freezer and ice will melt over time.
5.2 Adjusting Ice Thickness
The ice maker allows you to adjust the thickness of the ice cubes:
- During operation, press and hold the Up or Down buttons for 3 seconds.
- Adjust the ice-making time between 5 and 23 minutes to achieve desired thickness. Shorter times result in smaller, thinner ice; longer times produce larger, thicker ice.
- Release the button to set the new ice-making time.

5.3 Reservation Function
To set a delayed start for ice production:
- Press the Reservation button.
- Use the Up or Down buttons to set the desired delay time.
- The machine will start ice production after the set delay.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Automatic Self-Cleaning

- After the cleaning cycle, open the drain plug to discharge the wastewater.

6.2 Regular Cleaning

- Clean the ice storage bin periodically with a mild detergent and rinse thoroughly.
