Setup

  1. Battery Installation: The TX15 requires a 7.4V 2-cell Lithium-Polymer battery or two 3.7V 18650 Lithium-Ion cells (batteries not included). Insert the batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity. Use the provided 18650 battery tray if using 18650 cells.
  2. MicroSD Card: (Optional) Insert a 32GB/FAT32 formatted MicroSD card into the designated slot. Note that inserting a MicroSD card will disable the onboard flash memory for storage.
  3. Initial Power On: Press and hold the power button to turn on the transmitter. The 3.5-inch IPS touchscreen will display the EdgeTX interface.
  4. Firmware Update: It is recommended to update the radio firmware (EdgeTX version 3.0.0 or later) and module firmware (ExpressLRS) to the latest versions using the USB-C port (UF2 method).
  5. Gimbal Adjustment: Use the included 1.5mm hex wrench and gimbal stick set screws to adjust gimbal tension and stick length to your preference. High tension gimbal springs are also provided for customization.
  6. Shoulder Switch Customization: Replace the standard shoulder switches with the included short 2-position latching or momentary toggle switch assemblies as needed for your control setup.
