6. Maintenance
6.1 Battery Care
Always ensure correct battery polarity during installation. Low battery power can affect night shooting quality. Replace batteries when the indicator shows low power. For continuous power, a 6V 1.5A DC adapter (buyer supplied) can be used.
6.2 SD Card Management
Format the SD card before its first use and periodically to maintain optimal performance. Avoid using high-speed SD cards as they may cause functionality issues; standard SD cards are recommended.
6.3 Cleaning and Protection
Regularly clean the camera lenses and motion sensors, ensuring any protective films are removed before use. The IP66 waterproof rating protects the camera from rain and dust, but avoid submerging it in water.
7. Troubleshooting
- Connectivity Issues: Ensure your phone is within 5-8 meters of the camera's hotspot. The camera does not connect to home Wi-Fi.
- Camera Not Recording: Make sure the TrailCam Go app is completely closed and not running in the background when the camera is in ON mode, otherwise, it will not take photos or videos.
- Blurry Photos/Videos: Check if protective films have been removed from the lens and motion sensors. Ensure sufficient lighting for night vision.
- Battery Drain: Use high-quality alkaline batteries. Consider using a 6V 1.5A DC adapter for continuous power.
- SD Card Errors: Ensure the SD card is formatted correctly and is a standard speed card, not a high-speed card.
