Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the device clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the casing or screen.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use. If storing for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries promptly when the low battery indicator appears on the display to ensure continuous operation and data integrity.
  • Probe Care: Handle the temperature probe carefully to avoid bending, kinking, or damaging the sensor tip. Clean the probe as needed, ensuring it is dry before storage.

Troubleshooting

Device Not Powering On

  • Check if the batteries are installed correctly with the right polarity.
  • Ensure the batteries have sufficient charge. Replace with new AA batteries if necessary.

Inaccurate Readings

  • Ensure the probe is securely connected to the logger. A loose connection can lead to erroneous readings.
  • Verify that the correct sensor type (PT100/PT1000) is selected in the device settings to match your connected probe.
  • Perform a temperature calibration if readings are consistently off. Refer to the calibration certificate for details or contact support.
  • Ensure the probe is fully immersed in the medium being measured for accurate readings, avoiding air pockets or partial immersion.

Data Report Not Generating

  • Confirm the data logger is properly connected to the PC via USB.
  • Ensure the recording function has been stopped on the device before attempting to export data.
  • Try connecting to a different USB port on your PC or a different computer to rule out port or driver issues.

Alarm Not Functioning

  • Check the alarm settings to ensure the high and low temperature thresholds are correctly configured and enabled.
  • Verify that the sound function is enabled in the device settings.
