4. Product Overview and Components
Familiarize yourself with the main parts of your 3D printer.

Figure 4.1: This diagram illustrates the key components of the 3D printer and their positions.
- 1. Control Box Base: The main unit housing the electronics.
- 2. Y Axis & Platform: The print bed that moves along the Y-axis.
- 3. Z-axis Bracket: Supports the Z-axis.
- 4. Z Axis: Controls vertical movement of the print head.
- 5. X Axis: Controls horizontal movement of the print head.
- 6. Print Head: Contains the nozzle for extruding filament.
- 7. Filament Holder: Holds the filament spool.
5. Setup and Assembly
Your printer comes partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the setup.
5.1. Assembly Steps
- Assemble the Base and Platform: Connect the Y axis & Platform to the Control box base.
- Attach Z-axis Bracket: Secure the Z-axis bracket.
- Install Z and X Axes: Mount the Z axis and X axis components.
- Attach Print Head: Connect the print head to the X axis.
- Install Filament Holder: Attach the filament holder to the top of the Z axis.
- Connect Power: Ensure the power adapter is connected to the printer and a suitable power source (12V, 2A).

Figure 5.1: Refer to this diagram for the correct installation sequence of the printer components.
5.2. Leveling the Print Bed
Proper bed leveling is crucial for successful prints and to prevent damage to the printer.
- Press the home switch to initiate the leveling process.
- When the print head touches the magnetic plate, immediately disconnect the power.
- Adjust the print bed as needed. If the nozzle is too close, it can crush and damage the magnetic plate. If it's too far, the printed model will not adhere to the magnetic plate.
6. Operation
6.1. Preparing Print Files
The printer supports STL and OBJ input formats, which are converted to Gcode for printing. You can use slicing software like Easyware, Cura, or Simplify3D to prepare your models.

Figure 6.1: This image illustrates different software options for 3D printing: modeling software for creating designs, slicing software for preparing models for printing, and online repositories for pre-made printable models.
6.2. Loading Filament
This printer supports 1.75mm PLA and TPU filaments.
- Place the filament spool onto the filament holder. Note: Only 250g filament can be hung directly. For larger spools, an extension part may be needed (a Gcode file for this part is typically found on the included TF card).
- Gently feed the filament into the print head's input.
- Use the '+' and '-' controls on the printer to load the material until it extrudes smoothly from the nozzle.
6.3. Starting a Print
- Upload your Gcode files to a memory card (maximum 128GB).
- Insert the memory card into the printer.
- Use the printer's controls to select your desired file.
- Press the start button. The nozzle will heat up to approximately 180°C in 5 minutes for PLA material.
- Monitor the initial layers to ensure proper adhesion and print quality.

Figure 6.2: The printer is shown in operation, producing a green frog model. The image highlights the maximum print dimensions of 100x100x100mm (3.94x3.94x3.94 inches).

Figure 6.3: This image displays the printer with a completed orange dog model, demonstrating the quality of prints achievable.

Figure 6.4: Three small, colorful rocket models are shown on the print bed, illustrating the printer's capability for multiple small prints.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your 3D printer.
- Clean the Print Bed: Regularly clean the magnetic print plate to ensure good adhesion. Use isopropyl alcohol for best results.
- Nozzle Cleaning: If the nozzle becomes clogged, gently clean it with a fine needle or by performing a cold pull procedure.
- Lubrication: Periodically lubricate the Z-axis lead screw and other moving parts with appropriate lubricant.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates.
- Storage: When not in use, store the printer in a dry, dust-free environment.
8. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter and provides potential solutions.
- Model Not Sticking to Print Bed:
- Ensure the print bed is properly leveled. (Refer to Section 5.2).
- Clean the print bed thoroughly.
- Increase the initial layer temperature or use an adhesive (e.g., glue stick) if necessary.
- Filament Not Extruding:
- Check if the nozzle is clogged.
- Ensure the filament is loaded correctly and not tangled.
- Verify the nozzle temperature is appropriate for the filament type.
- Poor Print Quality (Layer Shifts, Gaps):
- Check for loose belts or components.
- Ensure the printer is on a stable surface.
- Verify slicing software settings (e.g., layer height, print speed).
