4. Setup

Follow these steps for easy installation of your dash cam:

  1. Clean the Windshield: Use a clean cloth to wipe the area on your windshield where you intend to mount the dash cam. Ensure it is free of dust and grease for optimal adhesion.
  2. Prepare the Mount: Remove the protective film from the adhesive pad on the dash cam mount.
  3. Position the Dash Cam: Find a suitable location on your windshield that does not obstruct your view of the road. Typically, this is behind the rearview mirror. Press the mount firmly against the windshield to secure it.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the car charger into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Connect the other end of the power cable to the dash cam. Route the cable neatly along the windshield edge and dashboard to avoid interference with driving.
  5. Insert SD Card: Ensure the dash cam is powered off. Insert the provided 64GB TF card into the designated TF card slot until it clicks into place.

Once powered on, the dash cam should automatically begin recording. It is recommended to format the SD card within the dash cam's settings before first use.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle starts. It will power off automatically when the vehicle is turned off. You can also manually power it on/off using the power button.
  • Screen Display: The 3.16-inch IPS screen displays the live view from both cameras. You can switch between front, interior, or picture-in-picture views via the menu settings.

5.2 Loop Recording

The loop recording feature ensures continuous recording by overwriting the oldest unlocked video files when the memory card is full. You can adjust the duration of each video segment in the settings:

  • 1 Minute
  • 3 Minutes
  • 5 Minutes

To access these settings, navigate through the dash cam's menu.

5.3 G-Sensor (Emergency Recording)

When the G-sensor detects a sudden impact or collision, it automatically locks the current video file, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. These emergency files are stored in a separate folder on the SD card.

5.4 Parking Monitor

With the parking monitor feature enabled (and a hardwire kit installed), the dash cam will automatically start recording if it detects a collision or motion while your vehicle is parked. This provides surveillance even when you are away from your car.

5.5 Night Vision

The dash cam utilizes 4 IR lights and exposure compensation to enhance video quality in low-light environments, ensuring clearer recordings during nighttime driving or in dark parking areas.

6. Maintenance

  • SD Card Management: For optimal performance, it is recommended to format the SD card every 2-4 weeks. This helps prevent data corruption and ensures smooth recording. Always power off the dash cam before inserting or removing the SD card.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the dash cam's screen and lenses. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the device.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures for extended periods, as this can affect battery life and device performance.
