4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

This paint sprayer is compatible with DeWalt 20V batteries. For best performance, a 4.0Ah or higher capacity battery is recommended (battery and charger are not included).

  2. Unscrew the side-fill cap on the hexagonal paint container.
  3. Pour the prepared paint into the container through the side opening.
  4. Securely close the side-fill cap.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

Press the trigger to power on the sprayer. Release the trigger to power off.

Rotate the air cap to select one of three spray patterns:

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning immediately after each use is crucial to prevent clogs and ensure the longevity of your sprayer.

  1. Empty Remaining Paint: Pour any unused paint back into its original container.
  2. Initial Rinse: Fill the paint container with a suitable cleaning solution (paint thinner for oil-based paints, water for water-based stains/varnishes if compatible). Spray the solution through the nozzle until it runs clear.
  3. Disassemble and Clean: Unscrew the paint container, remove the nozzle, air cap, and suction tube.
  4. Brush Cleaning: Use the provided cleaning brush to thoroughly clean the inside of the container and the suction tube.
  5. Nozzle Cleaning: Use the nozzle cleaning needle to clear any blockages in the nozzle orifice.
  6. Final Rinse: Rinse all components with clean water until all paint residue is removed.
  7. Dry and Store: Allow all parts to dry completely before reassembling and storing the sprayer in the provided storage bag.
