Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging.
  2. Prepare Filter: Soak the filter in water for 2 minutes and rinse it thoroughly under running water before initial use. This prevents activated carbon dust from shedding.
  3. Assemble Pump: Place the pump inside the designated square indentation at the bottom of the water bowl. Ensure the double probe faces towards the clear window.
  4. Install Filter: Insert the prepared filter into its compartment above the pump.
  5. Fill Water: Fill the fountain with water, ensuring the level is between the MIN and MAX indicators visible through the translucent tank.
  6. Connect Power: Plug the USB power adapter into a wall outlet. Keep the cable hidden to prevent pets from chewing it.

Operating Instructions

The NPET WF100 fountain offers two distinct water flow modes to cater to your pet's preferences:

  • Leaf-Shaped Mode: This mode utilizes the leaf-shaped attachment to create a gentle, flowing stream of water, which can attract pets to drink more.
  • Gentle Fountain Mode: Without the leaf attachment, the fountain provides a bubbling, gentle flow of water from the top surface.

The translucent water tank and LED light allow for easy monitoring of the water level, reminding you when to refill. The bottom suction pump ensures continuous water circulation, providing fresh water and preventing stagnant areas.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the health of your pet and the longevity of the fountain.

  • Weekly Cleaning: For your pet's health, it is suggested to change the water and clean the entire fountain every week.
  • Impeller Cleaning: If the fountain becomes loud, it may be due to a low water level or a dirty impeller. Clean the pump's impeller and ensure the water reaches at least the minimum level.
  • Filter and Sponge Replacement: Replace the filter and the sponge every 2 to 4 weeks, depending on your pet's drinking frequency and the number of pets using the fountain. Flush the filter and sponge with water every time you change the water.
  • Cable Safety: Always keep the power cable hidden to prevent pets from chewing it.

Troubleshooting

  • Loud Fountain Operation: If the fountain is operating loudly, check the water level. Ensure it is above the minimum fill line. A dirty pump impeller can also cause noise; clean the impeller thoroughly.
  • No Water Flow: Verify that the power adapter is securely plugged in and the pump is correctly placed in its indentation. Check for any obstructions in the pump or tubing.
  • Water Quality Issues: Ensure filters are replaced regularly (every 2-4 weeks) and the fountain is cleaned weekly to maintain optimal water quality.
