3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking and Placement
- Remove the printer from its packaging and remove all protective tapes and materials.
- Place the printer on a stable, flat surface with adequate space around it for ventilation and operation.
- Connect the power cord to the printer and then to a power outlet.

3.2 Installing Ink Cartridges
- Open the printer's top cover to access the ink cartridge compartment.
- Carefully unpackage the PG-295 Black and CL-286 Color ink tanks.
- Insert each cartridge into its corresponding slot until it clicks into place.
- Close the top cover.
3.3 Loading Paper
- Pull out the paper cassette from the front of the printer.
- Adjust the paper guides to match the size of your paper.
- Load paper into the cassette, print side down.
- Push the paper cassette back into the printer.
3.4 Initial Power On and Network Connection
- Press the power button to turn on the printer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions on the 1.42-inch OLED display to select your language and region.
- Navigate to the Wi-Fi setup menu and follow the prompts to connect your printer to your wireless network.
- Alternatively, connect via USB to your computer for initial setup.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Control Panel Overview
The printer features an intuitive control panel with a 1.42-inch monochrome OLED display. Use the navigation buttons to scroll through menus and select options.

4.2 Printing Documents and Photos
- Ensure the printer is powered on and connected to your device (computer or mobile).
- Load the appropriate paper type and size into the paper cassette.
- From your computer or mobile device, open the document or photo you wish to print.
- Select "Print" from the application's menu.
- Choose the Canon PIXMA TS6520 from the list of available printers.
- Adjust print settings such as paper size, print quality, and number of copies.
- Click "Print."
The PIXMA TS6520 offers print speeds of approximately 14 images per minute for black and white documents and 9 images per minute for color documents. A 4" x 6" photo prints in approximately 39 seconds.

4.3 Automatic 2-Sided Printing (Duplex)
To save paper and time, the printer supports automatic 2-sided printing:
- When sending a print job, access the printer properties or preferences.
- Look for an option related to "2-sided printing" or "Duplex printing" and enable it.
- Confirm your settings and proceed with printing.

4.4 Scanning Documents
- Lift the scanner lid.
- Place the document face down on the scanner glass, aligning it with the guide mark.
- Close the scanner lid.
- From the printer's control panel or your computer's scanning software, select the "Scan" function.
- Choose scan settings such as document type, resolution, and destination.
- Initiate the scan.
4.5 Copying Documents
- Place the document face down on the scanner glass.
- On the printer's control panel, select the "Copy" function.
- Adjust settings such as number of copies, color/black & white, and quality.
- Press the "Start" button (Color or Black).
4.6 Mobile Printing
The PIXMA TS6520 supports various mobile printing services:
- Canon PRINT App: Download the official Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app for iOS and Android devices to print and scan directly from your smartphone or tablet.
- Apple AirPrint: For Apple iOS devices, you can print directly without installing additional drivers.
- Mopria Print Service: For Android devices, Mopria allows printing to certified printers from various apps.
4.7 Media Versatility
The printer supports a wide range of media types and sizes up to 8.5" x 11", including plain paper, photo paper, and envelopes. Borderless printing is also available for photos.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Replacing Ink Cartridges
When an ink tank runs low or is empty, a message will appear on the OLED display. Follow these steps to replace it:
- Ensure the printer is powered on.
- Open the top cover of the printer. The print head holder will move to the replacement position.
- Press the tab on the empty ink tank and lift it out.
- Unpackage a new genuine Canon ink tank (PG-295 for Black, CL-286 for Color).
- Insert the new ink tank into the correct slot until it clicks firmly into place.
- Close the top cover. The printer will perform an initialization process.
Note: Use only genuine Canon ink tanks for optimal performance and to prevent damage to your printer.
5.2 Cleaning the Printer
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the printer with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth.
- Interior: Refer to the detailed user guide for instructions on cleaning the print head or rollers if print quality issues arise.
