Introduction

The Moni Vamos i-Size Car Seat is designed to provide safety and comfort for children from 40 to 150 cm in height, covering approximately birth up to 12 years of age. This car seat complies with the latest EU safety standard ECE R129/i-Size. Please read this manual carefully before installation and use to ensure correct operation and maximum safety for your child.

Safety Information

• Always ensure the car seat is correctly installed and secured according to the instructions.
• Never leave your child unattended in the car seat.
• Ensure the harness is properly adjusted and snug against your child's body, without twisting.
• Do not use the car seat if it has been involved in an accident, even if there is no visible damage. Internal damage may compromise its safety.
• Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for information on child restraint system installation points.
• Do not modify the car seat in any way. Use only original replacement parts if needed.

Setup and Installation

1. Preparing the Car Seat

Before installation, ensure the Isofix connectors are retracted and the Top Tether strap is accessible. For infants (40-105 cm), ensure the infant insert is in place.

2. Rear-Facing Installation (40-105 cm)

1. Place the car seat on the vehicle seat.
2. Extend the Isofix connectors by pressing the release buttons and pulling them out.
3. Align the Isofix connectors with the vehicle's Isofix anchor points and push firmly until you hear a 'click' and the indicators turn green.
4. Push the car seat firmly against the vehicle seat back to ensure a tight fit.
5. Ensure the seat is in the rear-facing position. The 360° rotation feature allows easy positioning.
6. Adjust the recline angle for optimal comfort and safety for your child.

3. Forward-Facing Installation (76-150 cm)

1. Rotate the car seat to the forward-facing position.
2. Extend and connect the Isofix connectors to the vehicle's Isofix anchor points as described for rear-facing installation.
3. Locate the Top Tether anchor point in your vehicle (usually on the back of the vehicle seat or parcel shelf).
4. Attach the Top Tether hook to the anchor point and tighten the strap until it is taut, removing any slack. The indicator on the Top Tether strap should turn green.
5. For children 100-150 cm, the internal 5-point harness should be removed, and the child secured using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt.

Operating the Car Seat

1. Placing Your Child

Rotate the seat to face the car door for easy access. Place your child in the seat, ensuring their back is flat against the seat back.

2. Securing the 5-Point Harness (40-105 cm)

1. Bring the two buckle tongues together and insert them into the buckle until you hear a 'click'.
2. Pull the adjustment strap at the front of the seat to tighten the harness. Ensure it is snug, with no more than two fingers fitting between the harness and your child's collarbone.
3. To loosen, press the release button and pull the shoulder straps.

3. Adjusting Headrest and Harness Height

The headrest and harness height can be adjusted simultaneously. Locate the adjustment lever at the top of the headrest. Squeeze the lever and slide the headrest up or down to the desired position. The shoulder straps should be at or just below your child's shoulders for rear-facing, and at or just above for forward-facing.

4. Recline Adjustment

The seat offers multiple recline positions. Locate the recline lever (usually at the front or side of the base). Press the lever and adjust the seat to the desired angle. Ensure the recline is appropriate for your child's age and the installation direction.

Maintenance

Cleaning Instructions

• The seat cover is removable and made of 100% polyester.
• Hand wash the seat cover with mild soap and cold water. Do not bleach, iron, or tumble dry.
• Allow the cover to air dry completely before reattaching it to the car seat.
• Wipe down the plastic parts of the car seat with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• Do not lubricate any parts of the car seat.

Troubleshooting

• Car seat feels loose after installation: Recheck all Isofix connections and Top Tether tension. Ensure you hear a 'click' and see green indicators. Push the seat firmly into the vehicle seat.
• Harness is difficult to tighten/loosen: Check for any twists in the harness straps. Ensure the adjustment strap is not obstructed.
• Headrest/harness adjustment is stiff: Ensure no fabric is caught in the mechanism. Apply gentle, even pressure when adjusting.
• Seat rotation is difficult: Ensure the seat is not reclined too far or obstructed by the vehicle seat. Check that the rotation lock is disengaged.
