Setup and Installation
Installation Guide
- WARNING: Turn off power at the circuit breaker before beginning installation.
- Identify Wiring: Carefully remove the existing switch from the wall box. Before disconnecting any wires, take a picture of the current wiring for reference.
- Wiring for Single-Pole Installation:
- Connect the black wire from the dimmer to the incoming "Hot" wire.
- Connect the red wire from the dimmer to the "Load" wire (going to the light fixture).
- Connect the green wire from the dimmer to the "Ground" wire.
- The red & white wire is not used in single-pole installations; cap it with a wire nut.

- Wiring for 3-Way Installation:
- Caution: Only one dimmer switch can be installed in a 3-way circuit.
- Identify the "Line/Load" wire from your existing 3-way switch (it's usually a different color than the other two traveler wires). Connect this wire to the black wire of the dimmer.
- Connect the two "Traveler" wires from your existing setup to the red and red & white wires of the dimmer.
- Connect the green wire from the dimmer to the "Ground" wire.

- Mounting: Gently push the wired dimmer switch into the wall box. Secure it with the provided screws.
- Install Wall Plate: Attach the included wall plate over the dimmer switch.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
No neutral wire is required for this dimmer switch.
Operating Instructions
Using Your Dimmer Switch
The BESTTEN Super Slim Dimmer Light Switch features a rocker switch for ON/OFF control and a slide dimmer for brightness adjustment.
- Turning Lights ON/OFF: Press the top or bottom of the large rocker paddle to turn the lights on or off.
- Adjusting Brightness: Use the small slide control on the left side of the paddle to adjust the light intensity. Slide it up for brighter light and down for dimmer light.
