6.3. Battery Compatibility
The SPH5048 is designed to work with various 48V battery types. Ensure your battery settings are correctly configured in the inverter's menu.

Figure 8: Compatible battery types for the SPH5048 inverter.
7. Operating Modes
The inverter offers multiple charging and output modes to optimize energy management based on your specific needs.
7.1. Charging Modes
- Only Solar Charging: The battery is charged exclusively by solar power, regardless of AC utility availability.
- PV Priority: Solar energy is the primary charging source. AC utility charges the battery only when solar energy is insufficient.
- Utility Priority: AC utility is the primary charging source. Solar energy charges the battery only when AC utility is unavailable.
- Hybrid Charging: Both solar and AC utility can charge the battery simultaneously, with solar prioritized when available.
7.2. Load Output Working Modes
- PV Priority: Solar power supplies the loads as the primary source. The system switches to utility supply if solar power is insufficient.
- Utility Priority: AC utility powers the loads as the primary source. The system switches to inverter power supply (from battery/solar) only when utility supply is unavailable.
- Inverter Mode: The battery provides power to the loads preferentially. The utility will power the loads only when the battery is under voltage.

8. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your SPH5048 inverter.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the inverter with a dry cloth. Ensure ventilation openings are free from dust and debris.
- Connections: Annually check all electrical connections for tightness and corrosion. Loose connections can cause overheating and damage.
- Environment: Ensure the installation environment remains within specified temperature and humidity ranges.
- Battery Health: Monitor battery voltage and health according to battery manufacturer guidelines.
9. Troubleshooting
This section provides solutions to common issues. For problems not listed here, contact technical support.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Inverter not turning on | No battery connection or low battery voltage; ON/OFF switch off. | Check battery connections and voltage; ensure switch is ON. |
| No AC output | Overload; short circuit; battery low; output mode incorrect. | Reduce load; check for short circuits; charge battery; verify output mode settings. |
| Solar charging not working | PV input voltage too low/high; solar panels disconnected; charging mode incorrect. | Check PV connections and voltage; verify solar charging mode. |
| Error code on LCD | Specific system fault. | Refer to the detailed error code list in the full manual or contact support. |
