5. Maintenance
- Cleaning the Lens: Use the provided lens cleaning cloth to gently wipe the camera lenses after each use to ensure clear image quality. Avoid abrasive materials.
- Probe Care: The probe is IP67 waterproof. After inspecting wet or dirty environments, wipe the probe clean with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly before storage.
- Battery Care: The borescope uses a rechargeable battery. For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently and store the device with a partial charge if not used for extended periods.

Figure 13: The borescope features a detachable 4400mAh rechargeable battery, providing approximately 3 hours of working time. - Formatting SD Card: Periodically format the Micro SD card through the device's menu settings to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up important files before formatting.
- Storage: Store the borescope and all its accessories in the provided hard carrying case in a cool, dry place to protect it from damage.
6. Troubleshooting
- Micro SD Card Corruption: If the included Micro SD card becomes unreadable or corrupts data, try formatting it through the device's menu. If issues persist, replace the card with a high-quality, reliable Micro SD card. Ensure proper shutdown procedures are followed to prevent data loss.
- Articulation Not Locking: The articulation mechanism is designed for fluid movement. If you require the camera to remain in a fixed position, gentle manual adjustment or external support may be necessary as the articulation does not feature a locking mechanism.
- Dim Lighting/Poor Visibility: Adjust the LED brightness using the dedicated light button. Ensure the camera lens is clean. In extremely dark or reflective environments, experiment with different brightness settings to minimize glare and maximize clarity.
- Probe Droopiness: The 5.0FT flexible cable is designed to be maneuverable. In some horizontal applications, the camera end may sag. For precise positioning in such scenarios, gentle guidance or additional support for the cable may be required.
- Orientation Issues: If the image orientation is confusing, use the image rotation function in the operating menu to adjust the view to be right-side up.
- Temperature Reading Inaccuracy: The displayed temperature is a reference value influenced by the heat generated by the LEDs and camera circuitry. It is not intended for precise temperature measurement of the inspected environment. For more accurate readings, ensure the probe is in a stable environment or consider external temperature measurement tools.
