Safety Information

Do not overload the desk beyond its 176 lbs weight capacity. Keep the desk area clear of obstacles to prevent the anti-collision system from activating. In case of power failure, the desk will not automatically lower, so ensure it is properly positioned before leaving it unattended.

Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps carefully for proper assembly. A pistol drill (not included) may facilitate some steps.

1. Assemble the Crossbar: Extend the crossbar to the desired width. Ensure the round holes on the beam are on the right side and installed following the direction of the arrow. Secure with screws.
2. Attach Feet to Legs: Secure the feet to the bottom of each leg using the provided screws. Repeat for both legs.
3. Insert Drive Rod into Left Leg: Ensure the Drive Rod is inserted into the Left Leg. It can be slightly extended to facilitate the subsequent installation of the Hex Rod.
4. Insert Motor into Hex Rod: Insert the Motor into the Hex Rod until the protrusion locks into place.
5. Secure Motor to Beam: Rotate the plastic shell of the Motor clockwise, align the holes on the plastic shell with the pre-drilled holes on the Beam, and then secure the plastic shell of the Motor with 2 Screws.
6. Connect Hex Rod to Drive Rod: Turn the plastic part on the Drive Rod clockwise to loosen it. Insert the Hex Rod through the plastic part and push it in fully. Then, turn the plastic part counterclockwise to tighten it.
7. Attach Side Brackets to Legs: Secure the side brackets to the top of each leg using the provided screws.
8. Assemble Desktop Panels: Align the three desktop panels and insert the wooden dowels into the pre-drilled holes to connect them.
9. Secure Desktop Panels with Connectors: Use the metal plate connectors and screws to firmly join the desktop panels together from underneath. A pistol drill (not included) works better for this step.
10. Attach Desk Frame to Desktop: Carefully place the assembled desk frame onto the underside of the desktop. Align the pre-drilled holes and secure the frame to the desktop using the provided screws. A pistol drill (not included) works better for this step.
11. Connect Control Panel and Power: Connect the control panel cable to the motor and the power adapter. Plug the power adapter into a suitable power outlet.
12. Cable Management: Use the provided cable management ties to organize and secure all cables neatly under the desk.
13. Attach Headphone Hooks: Screw the headphone hooks into the pre-drilled holes on the sides of the desktop. A pistol drill (not included) works better for this step.

Operating Instructions

Your SMUG Electric Standing Desk features smart electric height adjustment for seamless transitions between sitting and standing positions.

The advanced control panel features an LED display, up/down arrows, and three memory presets.

• Height Adjustment: Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrows on the control panel to manually adjust the desk height. The LED display will show the current height. The desk adjusts from 28.7 inches to 46.5 inches.
• Memory Presets: The desk features 3 memory presets (1, 2, 3). To save a preferred height, adjust the desk to the desired level, then press the 'S' (Save) button followed by the desired preset number (1, 2, or 3). To recall a saved height, simply press the corresponding preset number.
• Anti-Collision System: The desk is equipped with an anti-collision system. If the desk encounters an obstacle during height adjustment, it will automatically stop and reverse slightly to prevent damage.
• Safety Lock: The control panel may include a safety lock feature to prevent accidental adjustments. Refer to the specific control panel instructions for activation and deactivation.

• Cleaning: Wipe the desk surface with a dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that may damage the finish.

• Desk Not Adjusting:
  • Check if the power adapter is securely plugged into both the desk and the wall outlet.
  • Ensure there are no obstacles preventing movement.

• Unusual Noise:
  • Verify that all screws are tightened.
  • Ensure the desk is on a level surface.
  • The dual motors operate quietly (below 55dB), but slight operational sounds are normal.
• Desk Wobbles:
