5. Installation Guide
5.1 General Preparation
- Power off your computer and unplug the power cable.
- Open your computer case to access the motherboard.
- Remove any existing CPU cooler. Clean the CPU surface thoroughly to remove old thermal paste using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.
5.2 Intel LGA 1700/1200/115X Installation
- Identify the correct backplate and mounting screws for your Intel socket (LGA 1700, 1200, or 115X).
- Place the backplate on the rear side of the motherboard, aligning the holes with the CPU socket mounting holes.
- From the front side of the motherboard, insert the appropriate standoffs through the mounting holes and into the backplate. Secure them finger-tight.
- Place the Intel mounting brackets onto the standoffs, ensuring they are oriented correctly. Secure them with the provided nuts.
- The FROZN A410 TD cooler comes with thermal paste pre-applied to its base. If you prefer to use your own thermal paste, gently wipe off the pre-applied paste with isopropyl alcohol and apply a small pea-sized amount to the center of the CPU IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader).
- Carefully place the cooler onto the CPU, aligning the mounting holes on the cooler's base with the mounting points on the brackets.
- Alternately tighten the two spring-loaded screws on the cooler's mounting bar until they are secure. Do not overtighten.
- Connect the 4-pin PWM fan cable to the CPU_FAN header on your motherboard.
- Connect the USB header cable from the cooler to an available USB 2.0 header on your motherboard for the temperature display functionality.
5.3 AMD AM5/AM4 Installation
- Remove the plastic retention modules from the stock AMD backplate, but keep the stock AMD backplate in place.
- Insert the appropriate AMD standoffs into the stock backplate's mounting holes from the front side of the motherboard. Secure them finger-tight.
- Place the AMD mounting brackets onto the standoffs, ensuring they are oriented correctly. Secure them with the provided nuts.

6. Operation
6.1 Real-Time Temperature Display
The FROZN A410 TD features a digital display on its top cover that shows the CPU temperature in real-time. This display provides immediate feedback on your CPU's thermal status.

6.2 Companion Software
To enable and control the real-time CPU temperature display, companion software is required. This software typically runs in the background and communicates with the cooler via the USB 2.0 header connection. Please download the latest version of the ID-COOLING software from the official ID-COOLING website.
- Install the software after completing the hardware installation.
- Ensure the USB header cable is correctly connected to your motherboard.
- The software may offer additional monitoring features or display customization options.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure optimal cooling performance and extends the lifespan of your cooler.
- Dust Removal: Periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months), use compressed air to blow dust out of the heatsink fins and fan blades. Hold the fan blades gently to prevent them from spinning rapidly during cleaning, which can damage the fan motor.
- Fan Cleaning: If dust buildup is heavy, carefully remove the fan from the heatsink (if detachable) and clean the blades with a soft brush or cloth.
- Thermal Paste: The pre-applied thermal paste is designed for long-term use. However, if you remove the cooler from the CPU, you must clean off the old thermal paste from both the CPU and the cooler base and apply new thermal paste before re-installation.
8. Troubleshooting
- No Temperature Display:
- Ensure the USB header cable is securely connected to both the cooler and an available USB 2.0 header on your motherboard.
- Verify that the ID-COOLING companion software is installed and running in the background.
- Check your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI settings to ensure USB headers are enabled.
- High CPU Temperatures:
- Confirm the cooler is securely mounted to the CPU and that there is proper contact.
- Ensure thermal paste was applied correctly (or that the pre-applied paste was not disturbed).
- Check that the fan cable is connected to the CPU_FAN header and the fan is spinning.
- Clean any dust buildup from the heatsink fins and fan blades.
- Verify proper airflow within your PC case.
- Fan Not Spinning:
- Ensure the 4-pin PWM fan cable is correctly connected to the CPU_FAN header on your motherboard.
- Check your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI settings for fan speed control.
- Inspect the fan for any obstructions.
