Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your Sainlogic Automatic Plant Waterer:

1. Prepare the Water Source: Place a bucket or reservoir of water near your plants. Ensure the water source is lower than the anti-siphon valve's installation position to prevent backflow.
2. Connect the Filter: Attach the filter to one end of the tubing and place it into your water reservoir.
3. Connect Tubing to Control Unit: Insert the other end of the tubing into the "IN" port of the main control unit.
4. Install Drippers and T-Joints:
   • Measure and cut the tubing to the desired lengths to reach each plant.
   • Insert T-joints into the cut tubing sections to create branches for each plant.
   • Attach a dripper (watering stake) to the end of each branch and insert it into the soil of your potted plant, ensuring it reaches the root area.
5. Connect Soil Moisture Sensor: Plug the soil moisture sensor into the designated port on the control unit. Place the sensor into the soil of a representative plant to monitor its moisture level.
6. Position the Anti-Siphon Valve: The anti-siphon valve must be installed at the highest point of the entire irrigation system, above the water reservoir, to prevent water from continuously flowing due to siphoning.
7. Power On: Connect the Type-C cable to the control unit and a suitable power adapter (not included). The device will power on and the display will activate.

Operating Instructions

The Sainlogic Automatic Plant Waterer offers two primary operating modes: Humidity Mode and Timing Mode.

Control Panel Overview

The control unit features a rotary dial and several buttons for navigation and setting adjustments:

• Rotary Dial: Used to select different settings (ON, OFF, SET CLOCK, START TIME, HOW LONG, HOW OFTEN).
• OK/C/S Button: Confirm selection, clear, or suspend.
• +/- Buttons: Adjust values.
• Water Drop Button: Manual watering.
• Play/Pause Button: Start/pause operation.

1. Humidity Mode (Smart Watering)

In Humidity Mode, the system uses the soil moisture sensor to detect the soil's moisture level. It will automatically initiate watering when the soil is dry and stop when the display shows "WET".

1. Ensure the soil moisture sensor is correctly placed in the soil of a plant.
2. Turn the rotary dial to the "Humidity" setting (if available, or ensure the system is in auto-detect mode).
3. The device will monitor the soil and water as needed. The maximum watering duration in this mode is 30 minutes to prevent overwatering.

2. Timing Mode (Programmable Schedule)

In Timing Mode, you can set specific watering schedules based on time and frequency.

1. Set Current Time: Turn the rotary dial to "SET CLOCK". Use the +/- buttons to set the current time and press OK to confirm.
2. Set First Watering Time: Turn the rotary dial to "START TIME". Use the +/- buttons to set the desired start time for watering and press OK.
3. Set Watering Duration: Turn the rotary dial to "HOW LONG". Use the +/- buttons to set the duration for each watering cycle (e.g., 15 seconds, 1 minute, up to 30 minutes) and press OK.
4. Set Watering Frequency: Turn the rotary dial to "HOW OFTEN". Use the +/- buttons to set the interval between watering cycles (e.g., every 2 hours, every 1 day, up to 7 days) and press OK.
5. Activate Schedule: Turn the rotary dial to "ON" to activate the programmed schedule.

Manual Watering

To manually water your plants, press the water drop button on the control unit. The system will water for a preset duration or until you press the button again to stop.

Maintenance

• Clean the Filter: Regularly check and clean the water filter to prevent blockages and ensure consistent water flow.
• Inspect Tubing and Drippers: Periodically inspect the tubing and drippers for any kinks, blockages, or damage. Clean drippers if they become clogged.
• Monitor Water Reservoir: Ensure the water reservoir always has sufficient water, especially during extended periods of absence.
• Battery Care: If the device uses internal batteries, ensure they are charged or replaced as needed. The display shows current battery capacity.
