4. Operation

4.1 Touch Screen Navigation

The device features a responsive 5.5-inch touch screen. Navigate through menus and applications by tapping, swiping, and pinching gestures, similar to a standard Android smartphone.

4.2 Network Connectivity

  • Wi-Fi: Access Wi-Fi settings from the notification panel or Settings app to connect to available wireless networks.
  • 4G LTE: If a Nano SIM card is inserted, the device will automatically attempt to connect to the cellular network. Ensure mobile data is enabled in settings if needed.

4.3 Printing Receipts

Printing functionality is typically managed through your chosen Point-of-Sale (POS) application. Once configured within the app, select the print option to generate receipts. The integrated thermal printer operates at 90mm/s.

4.4 Scanning Barcodes

The device's camera can scan 1D, 2D, and QR barcodes. Open a compatible scanning application or a POS app with scanning features, then position the barcode within the camera's view for recognition. Note that 1D barcode scanning may be less robust than 2D code scanning.

4.5 Software Applications

The device comes with Google Play Store pre-installed, allowing you to download and install various Android applications. It is compatible with popular POS software such as Shopify, Loyverse, iREAP, and Kyte.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

  • Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a screen cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Printer Head: Periodically clean the thermal printer head with a specialized thermal printer cleaning pen or isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab to ensure clear print quality.

5.2 Battery Management

The device is equipped with a built-in 2500mAh lithium battery. Charge the device using the provided USB cable and a compatible power adapter. For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Device not powering on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the device to a power source and try again.
  • Printing issues (blank or faded prints): Check if thermal paper is loaded correctly and not upside down. Clean the printer head if print quality is poor. Ensure the paper roll is not empty.
  • Network connectivity problems: Verify Wi-Fi is enabled and connected to the correct network. For 4G LTE, ensure a valid Nano SIM card is inserted and mobile data is active.
  • Touch screen unresponsive: Restart the device. If the issue persists, contact support.
