2. Setup

2.1 Connecting the Power Supply

  1. Connect the USB charger cable to the charging station's input port, typically located at the back or side of the unit.
  2. Plug the power supply plug into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. The LED indicators on the charging station will illuminate briefly, indicating that the unit is receiving power.

2.2 Initial Charge

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the charging station itself (if it has an internal battery) or ensure it is connected to power before placing hearing aids inside. Refer to the LED indicators section for understanding charge status.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Charging Hearing Aids

  1. Open the lid of the charging station.
  2. Carefully place your GN ReSound LiNX Quattro hearing aids into their respective charging cradles. Ensure they are seated correctly. The left hearing aid typically goes into the left slot (often indicated by a blue marker), and the right hearing aid into the right slot (often indicated by a red marker).
  3. Close the lid. Charging will begin automatically.

3.2 LED Indicators

The charging station features LED indicators to display the charging status of both the hearing aids and the charging station itself (if applicable). While specific patterns may vary, common indications include:

  • Solid Green: Hearing aids are fully charged.
  • Pulsing Green/Amber: Hearing aids are currently charging.
  • Solid Red: An error has occurred, or hearing aids are not properly seated.
  • Multiple LEDs (e.g., 4-5 dots): These often indicate the charge level of the charging station's internal battery (if equipped). More illuminated dots mean a higher charge.

Refer to the specific indicator patterns provided with your hearing aids for precise interpretation.

3.3 Charging Duration

A full charge for your hearing aids typically takes a few hours. The charging station is designed to provide reliable power to keep your devices ready for extended use throughout the day.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance and hygiene:

  • Ensure the charging station is disconnected from the power supply before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior of the charging station with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the unit in water.
  • Gently clean the charging contacts with a dry cotton swab if necessary, ensuring no debris obstructs the connection.

4.2 Storage

When not in use, store the charging station in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep the lid closed to protect the charging cradles from dust and debris.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your charging station, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power/LEDs Not Illuminating:
    • Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the charging station and the electrical outlet.
    • Verify that the electrical outlet is functional by plugging in another device.
    • Check for any visible damage to the power cable or charging station.
  • Hearing Aids Not Charging:
    • Confirm that the hearing aids are correctly seated in their respective cradles.
    • Ensure the charging station is receiving power (check its own LED indicators).
    • Clean the charging contacts on both the hearing aids and the charging station with a dry cotton swab.
    • Ensure the hearing aids are compatible with this specific charging station model (GN ReSound LiNX Quattro C-1).
