1. Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the BigBen SLKIDSCAT children's alarm clock. This device is designed to assist children in managing their sleep and wake-up routines through various features, including an adjustable night light, selectable melodies, and a timer function.

2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking and Power Connection

1. Carefully remove the alarm clock and all accessories from the packaging.
2. Connect the provided power adapter to the "Alim. secteur" (Power input) port located at the back of the device.
3. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Setting the Time

Refer to Figure 2 for button locations.

1. Press and hold the Clock/Screen Brightness Adjustment button (located at the back of the device, labeled with a clock icon) for 5 seconds to enter time setting mode.
2. Use the Volume + and Volume - buttons (located on the base) to adjust the hours.
3. Press the Clock/Screen Brightness Adjustment button again to switch to minute adjustment.
4. Use the Volume + and Volume - buttons to adjust the minutes.
5. Press the Clock/Screen Brightness Adjustment button once more to confirm and exit time setting mode.

3.2 Setting the Alarm

Refer to Figure 2 for button locations.

1. Press and hold the Alarm ON/OFF/Setting button (located on the right side of the base, labeled with an alarm icon) for 5 seconds to enter alarm setting mode.
2. Use the Volume + and Volume - buttons to adjust the alarm hours.
3. Press the Alarm ON/OFF/Setting button again to switch to alarm minute adjustment.
4. Use the Volume + and Volume - buttons to adjust the alarm minutes.
5. Press the Alarm ON/OFF/Setting button once more to confirm and exit alarm setting mode.
6. To activate or deactivate the alarm, short press the Alarm ON/OFF/Setting button. An alarm icon will appear or disappear on the display.

3.3 Night Light Function

Refer to Figure 2 for button locations.

1. To turn on the night light, short press the Night Light Intensity Adjustment button (located on the left side of the base, labeled with a light bulb icon).
2. Press the Night Light Intensity Adjustment button repeatedly to cycle through the three intensity levels (soft, medium, high) or to turn the light off.
3. To set the night light timer, short press the Timer button (located at the back of the device). The available timer options are 15, 30, or 60 minutes. The light will automatically turn off after the selected duration.

3.4 Melodies and Volume Control

Refer to Figure 2 for button locations.

1. To play a melody, short press the Music ON/OFF button (located on the left side of the base, labeled with a music note icon).
2. To cycle through the 6 available melodies, press and hold the Music ON/OFF button for 5 seconds.
3. Adjust the volume using the Volume + and Volume - buttons (located on the base).

3.5 Educational Pictograms

The alarm clock features pictograms (sun for wake-up, moon for sleep) on its display to visually indicate to children when it is an appropriate time to wake up or stay in bed. These pictograms are linked to the alarm and sleep timer settings.

4. Maintenance

• To clean the device, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Ensure the device is unplugged from the power source before cleaning.
• Avoid exposing the alarm clock to water or excessive moisture.
