Setup
Unboxing and Initial Placement
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place the machine on a stable, flat, and dry surface. Ensure adequate space around the machine for ventilation and operation.
Water Tank Installation and Filling
The machine features a removable 40 oz water tank. Before filling, ensure the silicone cap at the bottom of the tank is removed to allow water flow into the unit. Fill the tank with fresh, cold water up to the 'MAX' line.

Drip Tray Placement
Ensure the removable drip tray is correctly positioned under the portafilter area. This collects any drips or spills during operation.

Initial Rinse Cycle
Before first use, perform an initial rinse cycle without coffee. This primes the machine and cleans any manufacturing residues. Fill the water tank, turn on the machine, and run a 2-cup cycle. Repeat this process for the steam wand by opening the steam knob to release steam.
Operating Instructions
Preheating the Machine
Plug in the machine and press the power button. The machine will begin to preheat, typically taking around 30 seconds. The indicator lights will signal when it's ready for use.
Preparing Espresso
- Grind Coffee: Use finely ground coffee, suitable for espresso.
- Fill and Tamp Portafilter: Place the desired filter basket (1-cup or 2-cup) into the portafilter. Fill with ground coffee and tamp firmly using the included tamper. Ensure the coffee surface is level and approximately 1-2mm below the filter rim.

- Insert and Lock Portafilter: Align the portafilter with the group head and twist firmly to the right until it locks into place.
- Place Cup(s): Place your espresso cup(s) on the drip tray directly under the portafilter spouts. For best results, pre-warm your cups on the cup warmer area located on top of the machine.

- Select Espresso Shot: Press the 1-cup or 2-cup button to start the espresso extraction. The machine will automatically stop when the cycle is complete. Monitor the pressure gauge for optimal extraction (typically in the green zone).

Milk Frothing
- Prepare Milk: Fill a stainless steel milk pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) up to just below the spout.
- Position Steam Wand: Submerge the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of the milk.
- Activate Steam: Turn the steam knob on the side of the machine to activate the steam.
- Froth Milk: Keep the steam wand submerged, moving the pitcher slightly to create a vortex. Once the milk reaches the desired temperature and texture (microfoam), turn off the steam.
- Clean Steam Wand: Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth after use to prevent milk residue buildup.

Maintenance
Daily Cleaning
- Portafilter and Filter Baskets: After each use, remove the portafilter, discard used coffee grounds, and rinse thoroughly with water.
- Drip Tray: Empty and clean the drip tray regularly to prevent overflow and maintain hygiene.
- Steam Wand: Always wipe the steam wand immediately after frothing milk. Run a short burst of steam to clear any internal milk residue.
Descaling
The machine features a descaling reminder. Regular descaling is crucial to remove mineral buildup and ensure optimal performance and longevity. Follow the instructions in the full user manual for the descaling procedure.
