Setup

Charging the Battery

1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the walkie talkie.
2. Connect one end of the provided USB-C charging cable to the walkie talkie.
3. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
4. The battery indicator on the LCD screen will show charging status. A full charge typically takes about 2 hours.
5. Once fully charged, disconnect the charging cable.

Attaching the Lanyard

Thread the lanyard through the designated loop on the walkie talkie for easy carrying and to prevent loss.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

Press and hold the Power/Menu button for a few seconds to turn the walkie talkie on or off.

Adjusting Volume

Use the Up and Down arrow buttons to adjust the listening volume.

Selecting a Channel

1. With the walkie talkie on, press the Menu button once. The channel number will flash on the LCD screen.
2. Use the Up or Down arrow buttons to select your desired channel (1-22).
3. Press the Menu button again to confirm the channel selection.

Setting Privacy Codes (CTCSS/DCS)

To ensure private communication and avoid interference, you can set a privacy code:

1. After selecting a channel, press the Menu button twice. The privacy code number will flash.
2. Use the Up or Down arrow buttons to select your desired privacy code (1-99).
3. Press the Menu button again to confirm. All walkie talkies in your group must be on the same channel and privacy code to communicate.

Transmitting and Receiving

1. To transmit, press and hold the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button located on the side of the walkie talkie. Speak clearly into the microphone.
2. Release the PTT button to stop transmitting and listen for a response.
3. Ensure all walkie talkies are on the same channel and privacy code for successful communication.

VOX (Voice Operated Exchange) Mode

VOX mode allows you to transmit without pressing the PTT button. When VOX is enabled, the walkie talkie will automatically transmit when it detects your voice.

1. Press the Menu button three times until the VOX icon appears on the screen.
2. Use the Up or Down arrow buttons to select a VOX sensitivity level (e.g., 1 for low sensitivity, 3 for high sensitivity).
3. Press the Menu button to confirm.

Using the Flashlight

Press the LAMP button to turn the built-in flashlight on or off.

Call Tone

To send a call tone to other walkie talkies on the same channel, briefly press the Call button.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the walkie talkies with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the charging port is dry before charging.

Storage

Store the walkie talkies in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use. For long-term storage, ensure the batteries are partially charged.

Troubleshooting

No Power

Ensure the walkie talkie is fully charged. Press and hold the Power/Menu button for a few seconds to turn it on.

Cannot Communicate with Other Walkie Talkies

Verify that all walkie talkies are set to the same channel and privacy code. Check that the volume is not set to minimum.

Poor Sound Quality or Static

Move closer to the other user. Ensure there are no major obstructions (buildings, hills) between the walkie talkies. Check for sources of interference. The range can vary significantly based on terrain and obstacles.

Battery Drains Quickly

Ensure the walkie talkie is fully charged before use. Reduce transmission time. VOX mode, if constantly active in noisy environments, can also consume more power.

Flashlight Not Working

Ensure the walkie talkie is powered on and the battery has sufficient charge. Press the LAMP button to activate.
