Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Fardriver DKD LCD Speedometer Display, follow these general maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the display screen with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, which can damage the screen surface.
  • Environmental Protection: Protect the display from extreme temperatures, direct prolonged sunlight, and heavy rain. While designed for outdoor use, excessive exposure can reduce lifespan.
  • Connection Integrity: Periodically check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion or damage. Loose connections can lead to intermittent operation or malfunction.
  • Storage: If storing the vehicle for an extended period, ensure the display is clean and stored in a dry, temperate environment.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your DKD LCD Speedometer Display, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Display Not Powering On:
    • Check all power connections to ensure they are securely attached.
    • Verify that the vehicle's battery is charged and supplying power.
    • Confirm compatibility with your controller (EM or Fardriver controller only).
  • Incorrect Speed/Distance Readings:
    • Access the settings menu (Password 153) and verify that the wheel perimeter and motor pole pair settings are correctly configured for your vehicle.
    • Ensure the speed sensor (if external) is properly installed and functioning.
  • Display Flickers or Shows Erratic Data:
    • Check for loose or damaged wiring connections.
    • Ensure the display is receiving a stable power supply within its specified voltage range (48V-96V).
    • Verify that the communication protocol (ONE-LIN/CAN-Bus) is correctly configured and compatible with your controller.
  • Cannot Access Settings Menu:
    • Ensure you are pressing and holding the left button for the full 10 seconds after the self-test.
    • Double-check the password entry.

If problems persist after following these steps, please contact Fardriver customer support for further assistance.
