Operating Instructions

Cooking Boiled Eggs (Soft, Medium, Hard)

  1. Add Water: Use the provided measuring cup to add the appropriate amount of water to the heating plate. The measuring cup has markings indicating water levels for soft, medium, and hard-boiled eggs.
  2. Pierce Eggs: Gently pierce the larger end of each egg using the pin located on the bottom of the measuring cup. This helps prevent the eggs from cracking during cooking.
  3. Place Eggs: Position the egg holder onto the heating plate, then carefully place the pierced eggs onto the egg holder.
  4. Cover and Select Setting: Place the transparent lid over the eggs. Turn the control knob to your desired cooking setting: 'Soft', 'Medium', or 'Hard'.
  5. Automatic Shut-off and Beep: The cooker will automatically shut off and emit an audible signal when the eggs are cooked to your selected consistency.
  6. Cool Eggs: Carefully remove the lid and egg holder (use oven mitts as steam will be hot). Immediately rinse the cooked eggs under cold water to stop the cooking process and make them easier to peel.
Step-by-step guide for boiling eggs: 1. Pierce egg shell. 2. Add water to heating plate. 3. Place egg holder and eggs. 4. Cover and start cooking.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your YASHE Electric Egg Cooker.

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Clean Base: Wipe the heating plate and the exterior of the cooker base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water or any other liquid.
  3. Wash Removable Parts: The transparent lid, egg holder, and poaching tray are removable and BPA-free. They can be washed by hand with warm, soapy water or placed in the dishwasher for convenience. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  4. Remove Mineral Deposits: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may accumulate on the heating plate. To remove these, add a mixture of water and vinegar (e.g., 1:1 ratio) to the heating plate and let it sit for 10-15 minutes, or run a short cooking cycle with just the water-vinegar solution. Then, wipe clean with a damp cloth.
  5. Storage: Ensure all parts are dry before storing the appliance. Store in a cool, dry place. The power cord can be neatly stored in the base of the unit.
