1. Introduction

The LOFREE DOT Lipstick 84-Key Mechanical Keyboard (Model OE914) is designed for a versatile typing experience, featuring 84 keys, hot-swappable GATERON linear switches, and three connectivity modes: 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C wired. 3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the keyboard using the provided USB Type-C cable. Connect one end to the keyboard's Type-C port and the other to a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter). The charging indicator light will show charging status.

3.2 Connectivity Modes

The LOFREE DOT keyboard supports three connection modes: Wired (USB Type-C), 2.4GHz Wireless, and Bluetooth 5.0. Use the toggle switch on the back of the keyboard to select your desired mode.

3.2.1 Wired Connection

1. Set the mode switch on the back of the keyboard to 'CAB' (Cable).
2. Connect the USB Type-C cable from the keyboard to your computer.
3. The keyboard will be recognized automatically by your operating system.

3.2.2 2.4GHz Wireless Connection

1. Locate the 2.4GHz wireless receiver, typically stored in a compartment on the keyboard's back or side.
2. Set the mode switch on the back of the keyboard to 'WLS' (Wireless).
3. Plug the 2.4GHz receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
4. The keyboard should connect automatically.

2. Press and hold Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3 for 3-5 seconds to enter pairing mode for the desired device slot. The indicator light will flash rapidly.
3. On your device (computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
4. Select 'LOFREE DOT' from the list of available devices to pair.
5. Once paired, the indicator light will stop flashing. You can switch between paired devices by pressing Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3 briefly.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Key Functions

The LOFREE DOT keyboard features an 84-key layout. Many keys have secondary functions accessible via the Fn key. Refer to the keycap legends for specific Fn combinations for media control, volume, and other system functions.

4.2 Backlight Control

The keyboard features 7 white backlight modes. You can adjust the backlight effects, brightness, and breathing speed:

• Press Fn + Up Arrow to cycle through backlight effects.
• Press Fn + Left Arrow to decrease backlight brightness.
• Press Fn + Right Arrow to increase backlight brightness.
• Adjust breathing speed using other Fn combinations as indicated on keycaps.

4.3 System Compatibility Switch

A dedicated switch on the back of the keyboard allows you to toggle between Windows and macOS layouts, ensuring proper function key mapping for your operating system.

4.4 Power Management

The keyboard features a built-in 4000mAh battery and a smart power-saving mode. The backlight will automatically turn off when the keyboard is idle to conserve power. A low battery alert will notify you when recharging is needed.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean your keyboard, power it off and disconnect any cables. Use the provided cleaning brush or a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the keycaps and chassis. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, ensuring no liquid enters the keyboard. Allow to dry completely before use.

5.2 Hot-Swappable Switches

The LOFREE DOT keyboard features hot-swappable GATERON switches, allowing you to change switches without soldering. Use the included switch puller to carefully remove existing switches and insert new 3-pin or 5-pin compatible mechanical switches.

5.3 Keycap Replacement

The keyboard comes with unique lipstick-inspired keycaps. To replace keycaps, use the included keycap puller to gently remove them. Align new keycaps with the switch stems and press down firmly until they click into place.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Keyboard Not Responding

• Check Power: Ensure the keyboard is charged. Connect it via USB-C to check if it powers on.
• Check Connection Mode: Verify the mode switch (WLS/CAB/OFF) is set correctly for your desired connection type.
• Wired: Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable.
• 2.4GHz Wireless: Ensure the 2.4GHz receiver is securely plugged into a USB port. Try re-pairing by unplugging and re-plugging the receiver.
• Bluetooth: Re-enter pairing mode (Fn + 1/2/3) and re-pair with your device. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.

6.2 Backlight Not Working/Adjusting

• Check Brightness: Increase brightness using Fn + Right Arrow.
• Cycle Effects: Try cycling through different backlight effects using Fn + Up Arrow.
