Setup

Before using your Gourmia GDK2375 kettle for the first time, please follow these steps:

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and components from the box.
2. Clean: Wash the glass kettle and the removable stainless steel tea infuser with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Do not immerse the power base in water.
3. Position: Place the electric kettle base on a dry, flat, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure it is away from the edge of the counter and out of reach of children.
4. Initial Boil: Fill the kettle with fresh water up to the MAX (1.7L) line. Place it on the power base and boil the water. Discard this water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to ensure the interior is clean and free of any manufacturing residues.

Operating Instructions

The Gourmia GDK2375 offers intuitive controls for various hot beverage preparations.

1. Filling the Kettle

• Open the kettle lid.
• Fill the kettle with fresh, cold water. Ensure the water level is between the MIN (0.5L) and MAX (1.7L) markings. Do not overfill.
• Close the lid securely until it clicks into place.

2. Using the Tea Infuser (Optional)

• If brewing loose leaf tea or using tea bags, place them inside the removable stainless steel infuser.
• Carefully insert the infuser into the kettle, ensuring it is properly seated.

3. Placing on Power Base

• Place the filled kettle firmly onto the electric power base. The kettle can be placed from any angle due to its 360° swivel design.

4. Selecting Temperature and Starting

• The digital LED touchscreen on the base allows for easy temperature selection.
• Using Presets: Press the 'Presets' button to cycle through the 6 pre-programmed temperature settings:
• Delicate Tea (167°F / 75°C)
• Green Tea (175°F / 80°C)
• White Tea (185°F / 85°C)
• Oolong (195°F / 90°C)
• Coffee (200°F / 95°C)
• Boil/Black Tea (212°F / 100°C)
• Custom Temperature: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to manually adjust the temperature to your desired setting.
• Once your desired temperature or preset is selected, press the 'START/STOP' button to begin heating. The LED display will show the current water temperature as it heats.

5. Keep Warm Function

6. Pouring and Auto Shut-off

3. Interior and Infuser Cleaning: The glass carafe and stainless steel infuser are designed for hand washing. Wash them with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Ensure no soap residue remains.
4. Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale:
• Fill the kettle with a solution of 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water.
