Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the safe and effective use of your Philips Sonicare Compact Flosser 1000, Model HX3333/24. This device is designed to assist in daily oral hygiene by removing plaque and food particles from between teeth and along the gumline using a stream of water.

Setup

1. Charge the Device: Before first use, fully charge the flosser using the provided USB cable. Connect the USB cable to the charging port on the device and to a compatible USB power source (e.g., laptop, wall adapter). The battery indicator will show charging status. A full charge provides approximately 14 days of battery life.
2. Attach the Nozzle: Select either the N1 Standard or N2 Comfort nozzle. Insert the nozzle into the opening at the top of the flosser until it clicks into place. The nozzles can rotate 360 degrees for optimal reach.
3. Fill the Water Reservoir: The removable reservoir holds up to 200 ml (6.8 fl. oz.) of water. You can fill it in two ways:
   • Method 1 (Remove Reservoir): Detach the reservoir from the main unit and fill it directly under a tap, similar to filling a glass. Reattach the reservoir securely.
   • Method 2 (Filling Port): Open the small filling port cover near the nozzle attachment and fill the reservoir directly through this opening.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for effective water flossing:

1. Select Flossing Mode: The device offers three modes: Pulse, Clean, and Sensitive. Press the mode selection button to cycle through these options. The indicator light will show the selected mode.
   • Pulse: For gum massage and stimulation.
   • Clean: For everyday plaque removal.
   • Sensitive: For a gentler experience, suitable for sensitive gums.

2. Position the Nozzle: Place the nozzle tip in your mouth, aiming it between your teeth and along the gumline. Close your lips slightly around the nozzle to prevent splashing, but allow water to drain into the sink.
3. Start Flossing: Lean over a sink and press the power button to turn on the device. Move the nozzle slowly along your gumline and between each tooth. The 15-second pacer will briefly pause the water flow to indicate when to move to the next quadrant of your mouth, ensuring a thorough 60-second clean.
4. Complete Flossing: Continue until all areas have been cleaned. The device will automatically turn off after 60 seconds or when the reservoir is empty.

Maintenance

1. After Each Use: Empty any remaining water from the reservoir. Rinse the reservoir and the nozzle under running water. Allow all components to air dry before storing. The filling port can also be used to store the nozzle when not in use.
2. Cleaning the Main Unit: Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
3. Nozzle Replacement: For optimal performance and hygiene, replace nozzles every 6 months or sooner if they show signs of wear.
4. Charging: Recharge the device when the battery indicator shows low power. The USB charging cable allows for convenient charging from various power sources.

Troubleshooting

• No water flow: Ensure the reservoir is filled and the nozzle is securely attached. Check for any blockages in the nozzle or water tube.
• Weak water pressure: Ensure the device is fully charged. Clean the nozzle to remove any mineral deposits or debris.
• Device not turning on: Ensure the device is charged. If the battery is completely depleted, it may take a few minutes of charging before the device responds.
• Water leaking: Ensure the reservoir is correctly seated and the filling port cover is closed. Check if the nozzle is properly inserted.
