Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Sainlogic SA9 Plus Smart WiFi Weather Station. This device is designed to monitor various indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV index, and sunlight intensity, providing real-time data and forecasts via the Weatherseed app.

Setup Instructions

1. Outdoor Sensor Installation

The outdoor sensor measures wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV, sunlight, temperature, and humidity. Choose a location that is open and free from obstructions for accurate readings. The sensor can be mounted on a pole, fence, or countertop.

  1. Assemble the outdoor sensor components as shown in the diagram.
  2. Securely attach the mounting pole to a stable surface using the provided screws and nuts.
  3. Mount the integrated outdoor transmitter onto the pole, ensuring it is level and oriented correctly for wind direction measurement.
  4. Insert 3 AA batteries (not included) into the outdoor sensor.

2. Display Console Setup

Place the display console indoors, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, for accurate indoor temperature and humidity readings.

  1. Connect the power adapter to the display console and plug it into a power outlet.
  2. Insert 3 AAA batteries (not included) into the display console for backup power.
  3. The console will automatically search for the outdoor sensor and indoor thermo-hygrometer. Allow a few minutes for data synchronization.

3. Weatherseed App Connection (WiFi/Bluetooth)

Connect your weather station to the Weatherseed app for 24/7 AI-powered forecasts, alerts, and data access. The weather station supports 2.4GHz WiFi networks only.

  1. Download the "Weatherseed" app from your device's app store (available on App Store and Google Play).
  2. Ensure the weather station is plugged in (WiFi connection is only available when powered by the adapter, not batteries).
  3. Open the Weatherseed app and tap "Add Device". Select "SA9 Plus".
  4. Press and hold the Max/Min button on the display console for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode.
  5. Scan the QR code displayed on the console using the app to pair.
  6. Select your 2.4GHz WiFi network and enter the password to connect. Bluetooth connection is also available for initial setup.
  7. Optionally, integrate with Weather Underground (WU) service within the app settings.

Operating Instructions

1. Display Console Overview

The 8.5-inch color LCD display provides a clear overview of all monitored weather data. It features enlarged fonts and a 3-level adjustable backlight for readability.

  • 24/7 AI Weather Forecast: Access high-precision forecasts.
  • App/Email Alerts: Receive instant notifications when temperature or humidity changes reach custom thresholds.
  • 2-Year Historical Data: View and download historical weather data in Excel format (up to 30 days per export).
  • Remote Monitoring: Monitor indoor and outdoor conditions from anywhere.

Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in the outdoor sensor and display console when the low battery indicator appears. Use 3 AA batteries for the outdoor sensor and 3 AAA batteries for the display console.
  • Sensor Cleaning: Periodically check the outdoor sensor for debris (leaves, dirt) that may obstruct the rain gauge or wind sensors. Clean gently with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Display Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the display console. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
No outdoor data displayed.
  • Batteries in outdoor sensor are low or incorrectly installed.
  • Outdoor sensor is out of range or obstructed.
  • Interference from other electronic devices.
  • Replace batteries in the outdoor sensor.

  • Relocate the display console or sensor away from potential interference sources.
Weatherseed app not connecting.
  • Weather station not plugged in (WiFi requires power adapter).
  • Incorrect WiFi password or 5GHz network selected.
  • App pairing process not completed correctly.
  • Ensure the display console is powered by the adapter.
  • Verify WiFi password and ensure you are connecting to a 2.4GHz network.
  • Repeat the app connection steps (Section 3.3).
Inaccurate readings (e.g., wind, rain).
  • Outdoor sensor is obstructed or not level.
  • Debris in rain gauge or wind cups.
  • Ensure the outdoor sensor is installed in an open, level area.
  • Clean the rain gauge and wind cups of any debris.
