Setup
1. Powering the Clock
The KWANWA Digital Alarm Clock offers dual power options: USB (main power) or 4 AA batteries (backup power).

USB Power (Recommended for daily use)
- Connect the provided USB power cable to the USB Power Input port on the back of the clock.
- Plug the other end of the USB cable into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a powered USB port.
- The clock display will light up.
Battery Power (Backup)
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the clock.
- Insert 4 new AA alkaline batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover.
Note: Batteries primarily serve as backup to retain time and alarm settings during power outages. For continuous display, USB power is required.
2. Initial Time Setting
After connecting power, the clock will typically display a default time (e.g., 12:00 AM). Set the current time as follows:
- Press and hold the TIME SET button on the back of the clock until the hour digits begin to flash.
- Use the UP / 12/24H and DOWN / DIMMER MANUAL buttons to adjust the hour. Pay attention to the AM/PM indicator if using 12-hour format.
- Press the TIME SET button again to confirm the hour and move to minute setting. The minute digits will flash.
- Use the UP / 12/24H and DOWN / DIMMER MANUAL buttons to adjust the minutes.
- Press the TIME SET button one last time to save the time and exit time setting mode.
Operating Instructions
1. Setting the Alarm
- Press and hold the AL SET button on the back of the clock until the alarm hour digits begin to flash. An alarm icon (bell symbol) will appear on the display.
- Use the UP / 12/24H and DOWN / DIMMER MANUAL buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
- Press the AL SET button again to confirm the alarm hour and move to alarm minute setting. The alarm minute digits will flash.
- Use the UP / 12/24H and DOWN / DIMMER MANUAL buttons to adjust the alarm minutes.
- Press the AL SET button one last time to save the alarm time and exit alarm setting mode. The alarm icon will remain lit, indicating the alarm is active.
Turning Alarm On/Off
To toggle the alarm on or off, briefly press the AL SET button (do not hold). The alarm icon on the display will appear when the alarm is active and disappear when it is off.
2. Snooze Function and Stopping the Alarm

Snooze
When the alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE/AL STOP button on the top of the clock. The alarm will pause for 7 minutes and then sound again. This can be repeated up to 3 times.
Stopping the Alarm
To stop the alarm completely for the day, press any button on the back of the clock while the alarm is sounding or during a snooze period. The alarm will automatically reset for the next day.
3. Brightness Control
The clock features both automatic and manual brightness adjustment.

Automatic Dimmer
Press the DIMMER AUTO ON/OFF button to activate or deactivate the auto-dimmer function. When active, the built-in light sensor will automatically adjust the display brightness based on ambient light conditions.
Manual Brightness Control
If the auto-dimmer is off, you can manually adjust the brightness. Briefly press the DOWN / DIMMER MANUAL button to cycle through three brightness levels: High (3-Lu), Medium (2-Lu), and Low (1-Lu).
4. 12/24 Hour Format

To switch between 12-hour (with AM/PM indicator) and 24-hour (military time) formats, briefly press the UP / 12/24H button (do not hold). The display will change accordingly.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean the clock, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these may damage the finish or internal components.
Battery Replacement
If the clock is primarily powered by USB and experiences frequent power outages, or if you notice settings are not retained, the AA backup batteries may need replacement. Follow the steps in the "Battery Power (Backup)" section under Setup to replace them.
Troubleshooting
