1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the OSTBA Rapid 7-Egg Electric Cooker. This appliance is designed to simplify your breakfast routine by cooking up to 7 eggs at once to your desired consistency: soft, medium, or hard. It also functions as a mini food steamer for various items. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use to ensure safe and efficient operation.

2. Important Safety Information

  • Always ensure the appliance is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  • Do not immerse the base unit, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • The appliance features a dry-boil and overheat protection system. If the water runs out, the cooker will automatically stop heating to prevent accidents.
  • Exercise caution when opening the lid after cooking, as hot steam will escape and can cause burns. Allow the unit to cool slightly or use oven mitts.
  • Unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
  • Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or if the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.

4. Setup and First Use

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Clean: Wash the transparent lid, egg tray, and measuring cup with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth.
  3. Placement: Place the main unit on a dry, flat, and stable surface away from heat sources.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Boiling Eggs (Soft, Medium, Hard)

  1. Add Water: Use the provided measuring cup to add the appropriate amount of water to the heating plate in the main unit. The measuring cup has markings for soft, medium, and hard-boiled eggs, depending on the number of eggs.

  3. Pierce Eggs: Gently pierce the wider end of each egg with the needle located at the base of the measuring cup. This helps prevent cracking during cooking.

  5. Place Eggs: Place the egg tray onto the main unit, then carefully place the pierced eggs onto the tray with the pierced side facing upwards. The cooker can hold up to 7 eggs.

  7. Cover: Place the transparent lid securely over the egg tray and main unit.
  8. Start Cooking: Plug the appliance into a power outlet. Use the simple rocker switch to turn the cooker ON. The indicator light will illuminate.

  10. Automatic Shut-off: The cooker will automatically turn off when all the water has evaporated, thanks to its dry-boil protection.
  11. Cool Down: Once cooking is complete, carefully remove the lid (beware of hot steam). For easier peeling, immediately transfer the cooked eggs to a bowl of cold water or an ice bath.

5.2. Steaming Other Foods (e.g., Vegetables)

The OSTBA Rapid Egg Cooker can also function as a mini food steamer. Place desired vegetables or other small food items on the egg tray. Add a suitable amount of water to the heating plate (more water for longer steaming times). Cover with the lid and turn ON. Monitor the food until cooked to your preference.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Dishwasher Safe Parts: The transparent lid, egg tray, and measuring cup are dishwasher safe.
  3. Main Unit: Wipe the heating plate and exterior of the main unit with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers. Ensure the main unit is completely dry before storing or next use.

  5. Descaling: If mineral deposits build up on the heating plate, fill the heating plate with a mixture of water and vinegar (1:1 ratio) and let it soak for 15-30 minutes. Gently scrub with a non-abrasive sponge if necessary, then rinse and dry.

7. Troubleshooting
