Weiworld VT501-WF Heat Recovery Ventilator
Instruction Manual
1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Weiworld VT501-WF Heat Recovery Ventilator. This system is designed to improve indoor air quality by providing fresh air while recovering heat from exhaust air, contributing to energy efficiency. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper function and safety.
2. Product Overview
2.1 Components
The Weiworld VT501-WF Heat Recovery Ventilator consists of several key components designed for efficient air exchange and heat recovery.

- Extendable Ducting: Allows adjustment for various wall thicknesses.
- Pre-filter: Captures larger particles before air reaches the heat exchanger.
- Ceramic Heat Exchanger: Recovers up to 90% of heat energy from exhaust air.
- EC Motor: Energy-saving motor with PWM control for quiet and powerful operation.
- G4 Filter: Provides fine filtration for incoming air.
- Magnetic Panel: Detachable for easy access to filters and internal components for cleaning.
2.2 Operating Modes
The ventilator offers three distinct airflow modes to suit different ventilation needs.

- Intake Mode: Brings fresh air into the room.
- Exhaust Mode: Expels indoor air to the outside.
- Recirculation Mode: Alternates between intake and exhaust to maximize heat recovery.
2.3 Control Methods
The unit can be controlled via physical buttons, a remote control, or a smartphone application.

3. Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance of your Heat Recovery Ventilator. Follow these steps carefully.

- Drill Wall Hole: Drill a round hole through the wall. The recommended hole size is 160-180mm for a 150mm duct.
- Seal Duct: Apply waterproof sealing glue to the inner side of the rubber ring. Pass the duct through the wall hole from the inside, then pull it back to seal the inner rubber ring against the outer wall. Fill any gaps with foam glue (use waterproof sealant indoors).
- Install Filters and Core: Secure the mounting panel with the 4 screws provided. Install the filter, ceramic exchanger core, second filter, and air flow rectifier in sequence inside the telescopic air duct.
- Mount Unit: Install the ventilation unit onto the mounting plate. The unit is secured with magnets.
3.1 Dimensions and Wall Thickness
The unit is designed to fit various wall thicknesses due to its extendable ducting.

4. Operating Instructions

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your ventilator.
5.1 Filter Cleaning and Replacement
The magnetic front panel allows for easy access to the filters for cleaning or replacement.
- G4 Filter: Check and clean the G4 filter regularly (e.g., monthly) or replace as needed.
- Pre-filters: Clean or replace pre-filters as part of routine maintenance.
5.2 Ceramic Heat Exchanger Cleaning
The ceramic heat exchanger is washable, which helps maintain its heat recovery efficiency.

To clean the ceramic core, carefully remove it from the unit. Wash it with water and allow it to dry completely before reinstallation. Refer to the detailed cleaning instructions in the full product manual for best practices.
