1. Charging the Battery

The battery pack (FBLI2001) is not fully charged upon purchase. Before first use, charge the battery pack completely using the provided charger (FCLI2001E).

  1. Connect the charger to a standard 220-240V~50/60Hz power outlet.
  2. Slide the battery pack onto the charger until it clicks into place.
  3. The charging indicator light on the charger will show the charging status. Refer to the charger's specific instructions for light indications.
  4. Once fully charged, disconnect the charger from the power outlet and remove the battery pack.

2. Installing/Removing the Battery Pack

  • Installation: Align the battery pack with the battery port on the drill handle and slide it in until it locks securely.
  • Removal: Press the battery release button (usually located on the side of the battery pack) and slide the battery out of the tool.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off and Speed Control

  • The drill is activated by pressing the trigger switch.
  • Variable speed is controlled by the amount of pressure applied to the trigger. More pressure results in higher speed.
  • Release the trigger to turn off the drill.

2. Forward/Reverse Rotation

A forward/reverse selector switch is located above the trigger. Push it to the left for forward rotation (drilling/fastening) and to the right for reverse rotation (removing screws/bits). Ensure the switch is in the center position for locking the trigger when not in use.

3. Gear Selection (2-Speed Mechanical Gear)

The drill has a 2-speed gearbox for optimizing performance:

  • Gear 1 (Low Speed, High Torque): Ideal for driving screws and drilling large diameter holes in wood or metal. (0-500 rpm)
  • Gear 2 (High Speed, Low Torque): Suitable for fast drilling of small diameter holes. (0-2000 rpm)

To change gears, slide the gear selector switch located on top of the drill. Ensure the drill is stopped before changing gears to prevent damage.

4. Torque Settings and Mode Selection

The torque adjustment ring allows you to select the desired torque for fastening applications or switch between drilling modes.

  • Torque Settings (1-22): Rotate the ring to select the desired torque. Lower numbers are for smaller screws or softer materials, higher numbers for larger screws or harder materials.
  • Drill Mode (Drill Icon): For general drilling without impact.
  • Impact Drill Mode (Hammer Icon): For drilling into masonry and concrete.

Always select the appropriate mode and torque setting for the material and task at hand.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Ingco drill.

  • Cleaning: Keep the ventilation slots clear and free from dust. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the tool casing. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Chuck Maintenance: Periodically clean the chuck jaws to ensure proper gripping.
  • Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not store fully discharged batteries for extended periods. Charge them periodically if not in use.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the drill, batteries, and charger in the provided carrying case in a dry, secure location out of reach of children.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect the tool for any signs of damage, loose screws, or worn parts. Do not use a damaged tool.
