2. Setup
2.1 Camera Components Overview
Familiarize yourself with the main parts of your Insta360 Ace Pro 2 camera.

2.2 Battery and MicroSD Card Installation
To install the battery and microSD card:
- Locate the battery compartment on the side of the camera.
- Press down on the latch and pull the battery cover open.
- Insert the battery according to the markings inside the compartment.
- Locate the microSD card slot next to the USB-C port.
- Insert the microSD card (purchased separately) into the designated slot until it clicks into place.
- Close the battery and USB-C covers securely, ensuring no orange line is visible, to maintain waterproofing.

2.3 App Download and Activation
The Insta360 app is required for camera activation and advanced features. Ensure your smartphone is connected to the internet, and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled.
- Download the Insta360 app from your device's app store.
- Open the app, select your device, and tap "Connect".
- Follow the on-screen prompts to activate your camera.
2.4 Charging and Data Transfer
To charge your camera or transfer data:
- Connect the official USB-C cable to the camera's USB-C port and a power source for charging. The indicator light will turn red while charging and turn off when complete.
- For data transfer, connect the camera to a computer using the USB-C cable and select "U-Disk Mode" on the camera's screen.
- The camera also supports reverse charging for other devices in an emergency.

- Main Interface: Displays memory card capacity, battery level, shooting mode, specifications, clarity zoom, and field of view. Tap the screen to hide/show information.
- Shortcut Menu: Swipe down from the top to access quick settings like QuickCapture, screen lock, gesture control, and AI features.
- Shooting Parameters: Tap the shooting specification icon (bottom left) or swipe up from the bottom to adjust resolution, frame rate, Active HDR, stabilization, and more.
- Clarity Zoom: Tap the Clarity Zoom button (bottom right) to switch between 1.0x and 2.0x magnification without losing image quality.
- Field of View: Tap the Field of View button to select options like MegaView, UltraWide, Dewarp, or Linear.
- Selfie Mode: Press and hold the unlock buttons on both sides of the flip touchscreen simultaneously to unlock and adjust the screen for selfie viewing.

4.1 Waterproofing and Audio Accessories
The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 is waterproof to 39ft (12m) without additional housing. For water sports, ensure the Wind Guard is removed or replaced with the Mic Cap before entering water to prevent damage and ensure audio clarity.
- Wind Guard: Pre-installed for minimizing wind noise. To remove, slide it firmly to the right until the red mark is visible, then pull off.
- Mic Cap: Use this accessory when the camera is exposed to water to protect the microphone. Install by aligning with the red silk screen and pushing in the direction of the arrows until it clicks.
