Installation Overview

The installation involves removing certain trim panels, connecting the power and protocol cables, routing the wires, and then securing the display unit. No permanent modifications to your vehicle are required.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Prepare the Dashboard:
    Use a pry tool to carefully remove the right meter side panel and the front right seat A-pillar baffle. Then, remove the front right seat threshold trim strip.
  2. Access Wiring:
    Remove the retaining buckle and locate the original vehicle protocol cable interface (blue A) and the original car power port (B).
  3. Connect Power and Protocol Cables:
    Unplug the original power interface B of the vehicle. Connect the female terminal of the provided power cable to B1 and the male terminal to B2. Plug the B1 interface of the power cord into the original vehicle B. Plug the blue interface A1 of the protocol cable into the original vehicle's protocol cable interface A.
  4. Route Cables:
    Pass the power cord from left to right through the dashboard using adhesive tape or a steel wire to guide it. Ensure cables are neatly arranged and secured with tape to prevent interference.
  5. Install the Display Unit:
    Fix the instrument panel to the air conditioning outlet. Position the display area directly facing the visible area of the steering wheel.
  6. Restore Panels:
    Restore the right seat threshold cover plate and the right side cover plate of the dashboard. Restore the steering wheel to its original position.
