2. Safety Information

5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the scale.
- Slide or unclip the cover to open it.
- Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover securely.
5.2 Attaching Hooks
- Attach the carabiner hook to the upper loop of the scale. This hook will be used to hang the scale from a support.
- Attach the S-hook to the lower loop of the scale. This hook will be used to attach the item to be weighed.
- Ensure both hooks are securely fastened before use.
6. Operation
6.1 Power On/Off
- To power on the scale, press the ON/OFF/TARE button. The display will light up and show "0.0" when ready.
- To power off the scale, press and hold the ON/OFF/TARE button for a few seconds until the display turns off. The scale will also automatically power off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.
6.2 Unit Selection
- With the scale powered on, press the UNIT button to cycle through available weighing units: kilograms (kg), pounds (lb), and ounces (oz).
- Select your desired unit before weighing.
6.3 Tare Function
- To weigh items in a container, first hang the empty container on the scale.
- Once the weight of the container is displayed, press the ON/OFF/TARE button. The display will reset to "0.0".
- You can now add items to the container, and the scale will display only the net weight of the items.
6.4 Hold Function
- After a stable weight is displayed, press the HOLD button to lock the reading on the screen.
- Press the HOLD button again to release the reading and return to normal weighing mode.
6.5 Weighing Procedure
- Hang the scale securely from a stable overhead support using the carabiner hook.
- Power on the scale and ensure it displays "0.0" in your desired unit. Use the TARE function if necessary.
- Carefully attach the item to be weighed to the S-hook at the bottom of the scale.
- Allow the item to hang steadily without swinging. The display will show the weight.
- Read the weight displayed on the LCD screen. Use the HOLD function if needed to stabilize the reading.
- Remove the item from the hook.
