Installation Steps
- Prepare the Case: Install the I/O shield into the case's rear opening. Ensure standoffs are correctly aligned for the ATX motherboard.
- Install the CPU: Carefully open the CPU socket lever. Align the triangular mark on the CPU with the mark on the socket. Gently place the CPU into the socket and close the lever to secure it.
- Install the CPU Cooler: Apply thermal paste to the CPU if not pre-applied on the cooler. Mount the CPU cooler according to its manufacturer's instructions, ensuring it is securely fastened. Connect the CPU fan cable to the 4-pin CPU fan header on the motherboard.
- Install Memory (RAM): Open the clips on the DDR4 DIMM slots. Align the notch on the memory module with the key in the slot. Press down firmly on both ends of the module until the clips snap into place. For optimal performance, populate the gray slots first.
- Install M.2 SSDs: Insert the M.2 SSD into the designated M.2 slot (upper or lower). Secure it with the provided screw. The upper slot supports NVMe (PCIe 3.0 x4) and SATA 3.0 protocols, while the lower slot supports NVMe (PCIe 3.0 x4).
- Install Graphics Card (GPU): Insert your PCIe graphics card into the PCIe x16 3.0 slot. Ensure it is fully seated and secure it with the case's retention mechanism.
- Connect Power Supply: Connect the 24-pin ATX power connector and the 8-pin EPS power connector from your power supply unit (PSU) to the corresponding ports on the motherboard.
- Connect Storage Devices: Connect SATA data cables from your SATA hard drives or SSDs to the SATA3.0 interfaces on the motherboard. Connect power cables from the PSU to these devices.
- Connect Front Panel Headers: Connect the front panel cables (Power SW, Reset SW, HDD LED, Power LED) from your case to the FPANEL header on the motherboard. Refer to the motherboard's silkscreen for correct pin alignment. Connect USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 front panel cables to their respective headers.
- Connect Rear I/O Devices: Connect your keyboard and mouse to the PS/2 ports, and other peripherals to the USB 2.0, USB 3.0, and LAN ports on the rear I/O panel.

Operating Instructions
After completing the hardware installation, connect your monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Power on your system.
First Boot and BIOS Setup
- Upon first boot, the system may enter the BIOS/UEFI setup utility automatically. If not, press the designated key (usually DEL or F2) during startup to access it.
- In the BIOS, verify that all installed components (CPU, RAM, storage devices) are detected correctly.
- Set the boot order to prioritize your operating system installation media (USB drive or DVD-ROM).
- Save changes and exit the BIOS. The system will restart.
Operating System Installation
Follow the instructions provided by your operating system (e.g., Windows 11) for installation. Ensure all necessary drivers for the motherboard components (chipset, LAN, audio, etc.) are installed after the OS is set up. These drivers are typically available on the manufacturer's website.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and stable operation of your motherboard.
- Dust Removal: Periodically clean dust from the motherboard and components using compressed air. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
- BIOS Updates: Check the SOYO official website for the latest BIOS updates. BIOS updates can improve system stability, compatibility, and performance. Follow the update instructions carefully to avoid damaging the motherboard.
- Driver Updates: Keep your system drivers (chipset, LAN, audio, graphics) updated to ensure optimal performance and compatibility with new software.
Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter.
- No Power/No Boot:
- Ensure all power cables (24-pin ATX, 8-pin EPS) are securely connected to the motherboard and PSU.
- Verify that the front panel power switch cable is correctly connected to the FPANEL header.
- Test the PSU with another system or a PSU tester.
- No Display:
- Ensure the graphics card is fully seated in the PCIe slot and its power connectors (if any) are connected.
- Check that the monitor cable is securely connected to the graphics card and the monitor.
- Try reseating the RAM modules.
- System Instability/Crashes:
- Check CPU and GPU temperatures to ensure they are within safe operating limits.
- Run memory diagnostic tools to check for RAM errors.
- Ensure all drivers are up to date.
- CMOS Clear (Reset BIOS Settings):
- If you encounter boot issues due to incorrect BIOS settings, locate the JBAT (CMOS clear) header.
- With the system powered off and unplugged, short the two pins on the JBAT header for 5-10 seconds (e.g., using a metal object like a screwdriver).
- Remove the short and restart the system. This will reset BIOS settings to default.
