Setup Guide

1. Battery Installation and Charging

Before initial use, ensure the battery is fully charged. The UV-5R Mini features convenient USB-C charging.

1. Attach the battery pack to the back of the radio until it clicks securely into place.
2. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the charging port on the battery pack.
3. Plug the other end of the USB-C cable into a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter, power bank, car charger).
4. The charging indicator on the radio or battery will show charging status. A full charge typically takes several hours.

2. Antenna Attachment

Screw the antenna clockwise onto the antenna connector at the top of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

3. Belt Clip Attachment

Secure the belt clip to the designated slot on the back of the radio for convenient carrying.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

Rotate the power/volume knob clockwise to turn the radio on. Continue rotating to adjust the volume. Rotate counter-clockwise until a click is heard to turn the radio off.

Frequency Programming via App (Bluetooth)

Channel Selection and Storage (999 Channels)

Transmit and Receive (PTT)
