Important Safety Instructions

  • Read all instructions before use.
  • This appliance operates at high temperatures (up to 770°F / 420°C). Surfaces will become extremely hot during and after use. Always use oven mitts or heat-resistant gloves when handling hot parts or opening the lid.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles and knobs.
  • Ensure adequate vertical clearance (at least 17 inches) above the oven and stable surface underneath to prevent tipping when opening the lid.
  • Keep children and pets away from the appliance during operation. The exposed heating element when open makes this an adult-only appliance.
  • During the first use, the oven may produce a small amount of smoke due to manufacturing residue burn-off. This is normal. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.
  • Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool completely before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • Do not use outdoors unless specifically designed for outdoor use and protected from environmental elements.

Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and accessories from the box.
  2. Placement: Place the pizza oven on a stable, heat-resistant, and level surface. Ensure there is at least 17 inches of clear space above the oven to allow the lid to open fully and safely. Maintain adequate clearance around the sides and back for ventilation.
  3. First Use Burn-off: Before cooking food, operate the oven empty for approximately 10-15 minutes at maximum temperature (both top and bottom heating elements set to 5). This will burn off any manufacturing residues. It is normal for some smoke and odor to be present during this process. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.
  4. Insert Pizza Stone: Ensure the ceramic pizza stone is properly seated in the base of the oven.

Operating Instructions

The Sunvivi Electric Indoor Pizza Oven features independent temperature controls for the top and bottom heating elements, allowing for precise cooking.

Cooking a Pizza:

  1. Preheat: Plug in the oven. Turn the top and bottom temperature control knobs to your desired settings. For most pizzas, a setting of 4-5 for both elements is recommended to reach temperatures up to 770°F (420°C). Allow the oven to preheat for 5-10 minutes until the built-in thermometer indicates the desired temperature.
  2. Prepare Pizza: While preheating, prepare your 12-inch pizza. Lightly dust the pizza peel with flour or cornmeal to prevent sticking.
  3. Load Pizza: Using the pizza peel, carefully slide the pizza onto the hot ceramic stone in the oven. Close the lid immediately.
  4. Cook: Monitor the cooking process through the transparent viewing window. Cooking times vary depending on pizza type (fresh, frozen, thickness of crust, toppings). Fresh pizzas can cook in as little as 6 minutes.
  5. Rotate (Optional): If desired, you can carefully open the lid and use the rotatable dual handles to turn the pizza for more even cooking. Always use heat-resistant gloves.
  6. Remove Pizza: Once cooked to your preference, carefully open the lid and use the pizza peel to remove the pizza from the oven.
  7. Serve: Use the included pizza cutter to slice and serve.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and performance of your pizza oven. Always ensure the oven is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.

  1. Pizza Stone: After use, allow the ceramic pizza stone to cool completely. Scrape off any excess food residue with a plastic scraper or brush. Wipe the stone with a damp cloth. Do not use soap or detergents on the pizza stone, as it is porous and may absorb chemicals, affecting the taste of future pizzas. Discoloration of the stone is normal and does not affect performance.
  2. Oven Interior: Wipe the interior surfaces with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, a mild, non-abrasive cleaner can be used, ensuring it is thoroughly wiped away afterward.
  3. Oven Exterior: Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the finish.
  4. Accessories: The pizza peel and cutter can be washed with warm, soapy water and dried thoroughly.
