The control panel features a large LCD screen displaying target type, depth, and sensitivity. Buttons allow for mode selection, sensitivity/volume adjustment, and power control.
Detection Modes
The Horizon X6 offers 6 specialized detection modes to suit various treasure hunting conditions:
NORM Mode: An intuitive quick-start mode for beginners, pre-set for immediate use.
All Metal: Detects all types of metal.
DISC (Discrimination): Allows you to ignore unwanted metals (junk metals).
Memory: Memorizes a specific metal type for targeted detection.
Jewelry: Optimized for finding jewelry, ignoring iron.
Pinpoint (PP): Locates targets precisely for accurate digging.

This image provides a clear understanding of how the detector classifies different metal types, aiding in target identification.
Waterproof Search Coil
The 10-inch search coil is IP68 waterproof, allowing for detection in shallow water areas like beaches, rivers, and streams. Note: The control box is NOT waterproof and must be kept dry. When used in seawater, lower the sensitivity to minimize interference.

6. Maintenance
Clean the search coil with fresh water after use in saltwater or muddy conditions.
Wipe down the control box and stem with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the control box.
Store the detector in a dry, cool place when not in use.
Remove the 9V battery if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
Regularly check all connections and screws to ensure they are secure.
7. Troubleshooting
Why is my metal detector beeping randomly? A: This can be caused by ground minerals. Try to do the Ground Balance manually. Please turn it off first, then bring the search coil close to the ground when turning on the detector. This will help minimize interference. Also, ensure the search coil is not touching any metal objects, wires, or cables, and electromagnetic sources.
Why is it difficult for my metal detector to detect gold? A: Gold is usually found in small sizes and has a unique shape. Please bring the search coil close to the ground when turning on the detector. It is recommended to use the NORM mode, which is optimized for small gold detection.
Why does my metal detector keep beeping when used with other detectors? A: Metal detectors can interfere with each other due to different operating frequencies. Please keep at least 10 meters away from other detectors.
Why does my metal detector beep randomly on the beach? A: Salty water is conductive and can cause false signals. It is recommended to use the Jewelry mode to eliminate iron signals, so that the metal detector can work properly on the beach.
