- Maintenance: Accesses special reset and service functions.
- Upgrade: For software updates.
- More: Contains additional tools and settings.
3.2. Vehicle Diagnostics
To perform a vehicle diagnostic scan:
- From the main menu, select Diagnose.
- Choose AutoSearch to automatically identify the vehicle's VIN, make, model, and year for quick access to diagnostics. Alternatively, select Diagnose for manual vehicle selection or OBD for standard OBD2 functions.
- After vehicle identification, you can select from options like Health Report, System Scan, or System Selection.
- A Health Report or System Scan will quickly communicate with available modules (e.g., Engine Control Module (ECM), Transmission Control Module (TCM), Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM), Inflatable Restraint Sensing And Diagnostic Module (IRSDM)) to check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
- To view live data, navigate to the Engine Control Module (ECM) or other relevant module, then select Read Data Stream. You can select specific data parameters (PIDs) to monitor. The device supports displaying up to four data streams simultaneously in a graphical format. You can switch between Metric and Imperial units.
- For active testing, select Actuation Test within a module. This allows you to send commands to specific components (e.g., Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Clutch Relay, Cooling Fan, Fuel System) to verify their functionality.
